First Lego
This was one of the three Lego sets I purchased for my toddler's second birthday. He loves it and plays with it all the time. Excellent toy.

Number Fun!
I purchased this for my 1 yr old's birthday. My 3 yr old takes over it! They love to build together. This set is not made for the First Train rail set. I knew that when I bought it. Easy to hold blocks with hours of fun!
does not work with duplo rails
you might buy this number train as a first duplo train for your child... after few months you might want to buy some rails for this train, and then: surprise! this number train is not compatible with rails (point junctions too narrow) so its really a shame! you'd need to buy a set with new train made specially for rails
Wonderful set for a toddler
We bought this set for our then 21-month-old son when it first came out at the very end of 2012. He LOVED it then and still loves it and plays with it often now, at 2 years and 1 month. He already knew most of the numbers, but it helps him learn the ones he didn't know as well and practice the ones he knew well already. He also loves building other kinds of trains with the train bases and engine pieces that come with this set, using pieces from his other Duplo sets. It's a bonus that it comes with a little boy figure and a dog. He has so much fun with it and we have fun playing with it with him!
