Great set to build
I really enjoyed building this. Challenging enough to need to concentrate but equally not too hard to do. Looks great when finished.

I really enjoyed building this. Challenging enough to need to concentrate but equally not too hard to do. Looks great when finished.
This is the first 18+ set my newly 14 yr old son has had. He built it in about 2 hours, but is very pleased with the finished piece, and has decided he just wants 18+ sets from now on.
The product is for the most part amazing. Some pieces are slightly warped, and some pieces also need to be glued due to how easily they fall off. UPS delivered several days late, during a season that doesn't see high package volume.
Fast delivery, perfect for the holidays (item comes from Belgium).
I loved building this set on a rainy day. It was fairly easy to put together however putting the 2 wings on were a annoying as the 3 pieces that you need to connect move down when you try to apply force.
The Lego Super Star Destroyer Executor has to be my favorite of the Lego Star Wars Starship Collection so far. I had such a blast putting this set together. And I honestly think the Executor looks great next to both the Invisible Hand & Tantive IV sets.
This is the set I am most torn about out of all my Lego display sets I have built recently. I love it cause it is quite large for it's size. And the 2 smaller destroyers that cruise by its side just shows it's enormity One of the issues I first came across was in the instructions. There were like 3 pieces or so that had studs on 1 side of a piece but is installed upside down so who knows if I installed it the intended way, as seen in picture. Another small hiccup was many pieces were repetitive in building and the instructions showed the set so zoomed out that I had to really look and search where I was supposed to install the next piece. Especially if you are a parent and you need to step away for a bit, to come back to a step with 2 or 3 small pieces installed on a massive ship was slightly annoying. I think most could navigate their way through it but if the set was bought for a younger builder, I could see them getting quite frustrated. And finally, the set just feels unfinished with no pieces covering the bottom of the hull. For a piece that is elevated on a stand, you would think the bottom of the hull would be covered. I have this build set up on an elevated shelf. Legos are usually seen frontal or above but most still look complete seen from below, but this one just looks off. I'm going to have to repack my shelves to make a spot for it on a lower shelf. Overall, it is still a cool nice build and I am glad I have it.
Fun activity, the delivery arrived on time and was well-packaged.
I love this set only disappointment was that the bottom isn’t covered half way just like In the movies, I really wanted leave it hanging for display but doesn’t look right. Sadly I did have to buy another set to fix that issue, even the Invincible hand got that treatment only the area where it isn’t covered is the stand, another issue is that it didn’t come with a figure. Overall beautiful set.
Bought this second ESD to use as the base for a Venator model that a very clever person who has made instructions to create yet another SW model.
Great build. There are some tricky parts but once you realize what you have to do, it’s worth it
This set is great display piece. The build experience is fun, varied but not difficult. It's pretty accurate to the model save a few areas. The stand is great and the printed brick is a fun addition.
I just received the box. Unfortunately, the outer box of the LEGO set is dented all over, which prevents me from displaying it. As a collector, I find this very disappointing.
At my age, you would think the fear of a missing piece would be part of the fun---but only when it doesn't happen during a build. However, when the misfortune occurs, the Lego magic is set ablaze. Now I have to be an Adult, write this review, and file a claim for the missing piece that's smack dab in the center of the ship. Finally, when I get the piece to complete the set--7 to 10 days later--after already waiting a week from the initial purchase, the whole thing is just a bummer. I guess I'm forced to wait to complete the set, and then I'll revise the review. Until then, Lego will hear me. FYI: This has never happened in 25 years of Lego fun.
Very beautiful and relatively new LEGO Star Wars set. Hours of building fun!
This set totally blew me away. I never buy sets straight away I usually take a while to think as it needs a lot of planning to fit in amongst everything else. But at the moment this was leaked I couldn’t wait a second and it really did not disappoint. The way this is put together for so cheap and little parts is insane it’s so sturdy and such a satisfying display piece. It’s so well designed before I built it I was interested in how the central parts with all the different things going on was going to be put together. However, due to the ingenious design I didn’t even realise I was building it until I had finished it and that was something I’d never get with any other set. As I said before this set REALLY BLEW ME AWAY. Whatever the team who designed this set are getting paid, they aren’t getting enough believe me. I cannot fault this in any way to the very last minute detail this set is perfect. If you like Star Wars or collect Lego this set is a must have and might actually be my favourite in my collection.
I thought this was an incredible build that fits on my desk nicely. It was so fun finding new techniques in this set and watching it come together in such a satisfying way. The only thing I wish it had was something to balance the look of the display stand with the anniversary brick on the side. I decided to use my extra Vader figure from this year’s tie bomber but not everyone will have that lying around.
This is a great build. I really love the mid scale and I hope they do more of these. It would have been perfect if it came with a minifigure displayed next to the stand.
I love this set. I bought three. One to build myself, one to collect and the third so I could gift it to my fellow 18+ Lego fan. This set size and price is ideal for builders who love the UCS series, but sometimes don’t have the funds or the space for the larger sets. I would love to see more sets like the Nebulon and Executor in the future. Overall Rating: 9/10 (price is a bit high) Great start to a successful new line?
The Executor is the perfect midi-scale set! The techniques used are incredible and its display presence is astounding! We all love UCS sets, but few ever have the space to display them. The Helmet and Diorama series have taught the Lego group that adults are far more willing to splash out on 18+ sets that are cheaper and small enough to fit on your desk; and the Executor fits this criteria perfectly. Like the Diorama series, she is a little on the expensive side; but also like the Diorama series, the build quality and display value are frankly unmatched. Personally I would consider this set a ‘must-buy’ even at the high price, and a no-brainer if you can find it on sale.
