Almost no new LEGO sets appear in November. They don’t need to: Black Friday on 27 November is the biggest price moment of the year and overshadows everything. The question isn’t what’s new, but what you need to have planned and when you pull the trigger.
So the whole month comes down to restraint before Black Friday and discipline once it arrives. Make a wishlist with a target price per set in advance: a list without an amount is just a shopping list, and then you let the rush decide for you.

Set your alerts before 1 November, so you capture the price history of the weeks before. Then you can tell straight away whether a “Black Friday price” is really lower than what a set already did through the rest of the autumn.
Which sets get a discount, and which don’t
Based on the patterns from 2023 to 2025, mostly older sets drop: modulars, mid-size Star Wars ships (not UCS), City and Friends sets from the first half of the year, and Technic sets that sat at RRP all year. Almost never on the list: Winter Village (launched in October), advent calendars, sets that just launched in August, and exclusive LEGO.com sets.
More important than the list is your starting point. Many sets already sit well below RRP now, and that changes what counts as a good Black Friday discount. The Volvo EC500 Hybrid Excavator is already −30% below it today, the Arctic Polar Express train −30%. For those sets, Black Friday has to beat their current price, not RRP. A set advertising “30 percent off” while it already sat 28 percent below RRP in October is barely a deal. That’s why an alert with a target price works better than a discount percentage.
The exclusive N-1 Starfighter (75442) is the mirror image: it barely moves, so ordering in time matters more than waiting for a discount that may not come.
The Sinterklaas deadline
Pakjesavond is Saturday 5 December. For online ordering, the date sets your certainty:
- Before 28 November: broad range, no delivery stress at Amazon.nl, Bol.com and Wehkamp.
- 28 to 30 November: still possible, but stock thins and some sets sell out after the Black Friday rush.
- 1 to 4 December: only LEGO.com Pickup or express delivery; check delivery times actively.
- 5 December: in-store only at Intertoys or Kruidvat.
Always order before 28 November if you’re buying for Sinterklaas. The few euros you sometimes save by waiting for Cyber Monday don’t outweigh the risk of the set not arriving in time, or at all.
One more thing that tolerates no delay: advent calendars. Don’t wait past 25 November, because by then Star Wars and Marvel are sold out or back at RRP after the Black Friday discount never touched them.
