Geweldig mooi bouwpakket

Mooi pakket, maar de kleur zwart of grijs is onduidelijk op de bouwtekening. Dus puzzelen.

Geweldige LEGO set

Lang getwijfeld, maar enorm blij met deze aankoop. Ik heb de light kit erbij hehaald, waardoor het nu als lamp fungeert in mijn huis.

This very nearly went back in the box when I opened it and found out it wasn't in numbered bags. But, I had been really looking forward to this build so I knuckled down and spent 90 minutes sorting all the pieces out. May seem like a long time but it is SO worth it when it comes to the build as everything is at your fingertips. The build itself is moderately challenging and you do need to concentrate. Perfect for a wet afternoon and I did thoroughly enjoy the build. The little details inside the van are great and not expected as I purchased this by the external look of the camper van and didn't realise it was so highly detailed. Despite being part of the Creator Expert series there is a lot of play value with the kit. It doesn't come with any mini figures but standard ones definitely fit inside - Harry and Ron went on a little holiday in mine ;) Really good value for money build. Fantastic outcome/lousy labeling

This is by far outside of the Voltron set I put together. The best final outcome/look to the original product. Pictures do no justice for this Camper Van. My coworkers are even amazed how detailed this set is. Favorite part Make LEGO Not War sticker. The issue here is non of the bags had numbers on them. I was literally looking through multiple bags at one time to find a part. Honestly as a result had to do a straight build instead of doing bag ones. Then coming back later because I was afraid I was going to lose parts. Yes one part is missing and I ordered it through the LEGO store. Factoring in the bags were not labeled added probably 2 to 3 hours to the build and some unneeded anxiety. Subtracting 1 brick for that factor only. For future batches of this set made please put them in numbered bags and change the directions to show the numbered bags.

Very enjoyable build as my first set, although no bags were numbered which I found frustrating. I have since purchased the beetle and mini Cooper to start my collection and they all look amazing on my book shelf. Im currently waiting on the James bond Aston Martin to be delivered and will be displayed along with the rest.

Awesome camper van

I bought this for my Wife Julie, she loved it so much she made her own curtains and other thing for it so now its a one of a kind, I hope you like her pictures, now she wants the mini to build

Let’s hit the road

We purchased this because my father-in-law travelled Europe in a real one. One of my favourite builds. The sorting was an awfully long experience, but after sorting all pieces to make the build more enjoyable, I had the best time. The detail is incredible, right down to a tire jack. The rising top is a very nice touch.

My first non technic build since I was a kid and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only request would be a steering mech just to boost the playabikity of these models. Plenty of room under carriage. I'll MOC one for this set once I figure out a suitably obscure HOG cog...

Love it

This set of Lego Creator collection is 5 stars. I'm more fan off the Technic cars, but this one and the F-40 are perfect. The details are fantastic, just missing some figures to complete. Congratulations and thank you Lego.

Great set.

I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it. I watched a YouTube review and loved it even more. The details in the set are awesome, my favourite being the little lava lamp near the back end. The seats in the back recline to make a bed, it has little checked curtains which really suit the van, the t-shirt in the window was a great idea and the foot pedals and dashboard are spot on. I wasn't keen on the stickers, but they do make the fine details, so it was worth the work to great them in the perfect spot. The roof pops up which is a nice touch and the engine was nicely thought out. I enjoyed building this and I liked the fact it took a while to build (not counting food breaks and dog walks). The guys at lego have really put the effort into this set and you can see all their hard work. I highly recommend this set for anyone who loves Lego or VW.

Fun with Bully

This set was a birthday present from my kids and I loved it. Having played with LEGO almost all my life, this VW was a very nice continuation, I guess one is never too old for that. The T1 Bus set is great, I still like to open all doors and admire the little parts and attention to details. The only disappointment was that there is no steering but I took that as a challenge and implemented a full steering linkage (I also did that on the MINI Cooper set), see photos. I hope that LEGO will issue more classic car sets, there is a lot of important cars which should be conserved by LEGO!

Visualiseer je droom

Als je wil dat een droom werkelijkheid wordt, visualiseer 'm dan. Deze gedachte was voor mij de reden om na circa 30 jaar weer eens een doos LEGO te kopen. Alleen al het geluid van de tegen elkaar botsende legosteentjes brachten oude herinneringen naar boven en maakten een jongensachtig enthousiasme in me los: een helemaal nieuwe doos, we gaan een legomodel in elkaar zetten, party time!Het model van de Volkswagenbus uit 1962 bestaat uit meer dan 1300 steentjes! Het zijn vooral veel kleine steentjes. Het viel me op hoe veel verfijnder en gevarieerder LEGO is geworden. Het biedt de mogelijkheid om in zoveel meer detail een model te bouwen. In het begin was ik aardig wat tijd kwijt om de juiste stukjes te verzamelen. LEGO maakt in zijn handleidingen (in dit geval bestaande uit twee boekjes van elk zo'n 80 bladzijden!) ruimte voor een 'mise en place'. Zoals koks in de keuken eerst hun ingrediënten verzamelen voordat ze met de bereiding van het recept beginnen, zo wordt bij elk nieuw LEGO-onderdeel beschreven welke steentjes je voor dat onderdeel nodig hebt. Bij meer dan 1.000 kleine steentjes is dat erg fijn, omdat de kans erg groot is dat je een steentje over het hoofd ziet. Halverwege ontdekken dat je ergens een steentje vergeten bent, kan leiden tot een stevige zoektocht en tot het deels afbreken van wat je gebouwd hebt.Naarmate de bouw vorderde en het aantal resterende steentjes minder werd, verliep het bouwen sneller. Het werd later en later, maar zoals altijd moest het model toch eerst helemaal af. Ik heb er zo'n 6,5 uur over gedaan, waarbij ik af en toe met bewondering naar steentjes zat te kijken die ik nog niet eerder had gezien. Het is een prachtig model, met veel gevoel voor detail. Achterin, bij de motor, zit zelfs een V-snaar en in de bus hangen gordijntjes. Ook is er een lapje stof (voor frisse lucht en tegen de vliegen) voor het deel van het dak dat omhoog kan. En let vooral op de kleuren: rood voor de onderkant, een zwarte bies en een witte bovenkant. Die zwarte bies wordt op een heel creatieve manier aan de voorkant van de bus doorgetrokken. Kijk maar eens goed.In het interieur zijn vele details verwerkt. Ik zal ze hier niet allemaal verraden. Verwonder jezelf.Het enige nadeel van het standaard model is dat het niet te besturen is. Op YouTube zijn filmpjes te vinden met voorbeelden waarbij aanpassingen in de carrosserie worden gedaan en het busje zelfs radiografisch te besturen is.De Volkswagenbus van LEGO is een bijzonder model, ingenieus bedacht, heerlijk om te bouwen en fantastisch om naar te kijken. De visualisatie van de droom is er, nu nog het bemachtigen van een echt exemplaar. Enjoy the fun.

The 1962 VW T1 Camper Van is awesome!

This is the first Lego build that I've done since, oh man.. before I was a teen, but I had a blast working on it. I don't remember Lego being this detailed, but this is over 10 years ago... The detail that is put into things such as the engine bay and the interior of the van and the opening camper roof are amazing. From the opening doors, windows and hatches down to the VW licensing makes this build worth checking out. Made for an awesome day build. Not only that, but upon completion, it does make a great collection piece. I happen to have an older VW camper van on my "dream car" list, so this one will hold me over! Overall, I would recommend this build!

Love the Kombi!!!!!

What a great way to spend a long weekend Sunday building the Kombi!! Bought as a gift for my boyfriend who was kind enough to let me build some sections!!! And the end result was AMAZING!!! So detailed and looks exact!!

Een Topper

Mijn zoon van 12 wilde deze VW erg graag, stond weliswaar 16+ op de doos.Toch gekocht, ik dacht dan is hij er in de vakantie een poosje zoet mee.Hij is begonnen en eigenlijk niet meer gestopt, wild enthousiast zag hij onder zijn handen iets moois groeien.Apetrots liet hij ons 's avonds het resultaat zien.Echt een collectors item, tot in de detail uitgevoerd.Zeer zeker zijn geld waard!

een echt verzamelstuk

op de doos zag de volkswagen camper er al super uit! een echt hebbeding voor jong en oud.de persoon die hem gekregen heeft was dan ook superblij en op een halve dag zat hij in mekaar.alles kan open van deuren. de bank legt plat om er een bed van te maken het is echt een super wagen die ze omgetoverd hebben in legoblokjes die nu pronkt op de kast in de living! een echte aanrader voor al wie van lego houd of ze nu 12jaar of 65 zijn.

Fantastic Build

Love love love this camper! I am a huge VW fan. as well as a massive lego nut, when i seen this i just knew i had to have it! I was amazed at the detail on this fantastic set, the engine was my favourite bit to put together. It took me a couple of afternoons to put it together but once complete i wanted to take it to bits and start all over again!

The most amazing Lego experience!!! It took me 12 hours... straight!!!!

This was my very first lego creation and I thoroughly enjoyed building it. I love all the features put into, such as the little drawers under the mirror on the inside of the door, the lava lamp in the back corner, the reclining chairs, and all the little features on the dashboard...not to mention all the moving parts. I'm disappointed that the first front half of the roof isn't staying together too well...but if I don't mess with it, it'll stay in place. It took me about 14-15 hours to build. It does take time, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a challenging piece. The detail is truly magnificent and it's a great piece and worth the buy.
