Mooi gebouw en niet te moeilijk samen te stellen.Ben nu bezig met de verlichting hiervan,spijtig dat deze in Belgie nog niet te verkrijgen is. Dit zou een grote troef zijn in dit segment.

Amazing exterior

I became AFOL when I got Techic Porsche set and after that I managed to get Brick Bank in 2017 summer. Now is 2018 september and I just build my fifth modular building - Palace Cinema. So you can quess - I am big fan of modular buildings now :) So I heard about Palace Cinema more bad things than good and I something is true but all in all it is amazing modular building to have for display on your shelf! The third part - roof and Palace sign changed it all, now it looks oustanding and I'm very glad that I have it in my colection. Don't expect much playability but then you put more mini figures (some to watch movie, some to stand in line and some to be in foje) it comes alive :) In my 5 modulars now lives about 150 mini figures, so you just must to add more minifigures to every modular :) already can't wait for 2019 modular :)

Beautiful

I'm an eleven year old boy, and I was very excited to receive the Palace Cinema for Christmas. I already have two other Modular sets. It was an easy project to build. It looks so realistic and it's very beautiful. One of the best things are the stickers, they are great! It has lots of detail on the outside but not very much in the inside. On the second floor it has the actual cinema it has lovely seats and the screen is very nice too. I had a great time making it and really recommend it.

Looks a good night out

This was my first mod build and yes it's a little bare inside but the overall look and fun build make up for it. I customised mine with Lego Back to the Future move posters and Bill board and added the DeLorean with Doc hovering above and Marty at the door.

Most beautiful modular of them all

There are ony a few things that could have been better: The back of the roof is not finished. Specialy the middle high part is open at the back, that's just ugly! You can fix it with only 4 parts, but in a set like this you shoudn't have to...) The limo is pretty poor, don't like it at all. The wheels are way to smal for the body and it can only fit 2 minifigs. Personaly I would have put in one more row of seats. WHY are there only 6 minifigs in this big "rare" creator set? There are much cheaper sets from Star Wars that have way more "special" minifigs. This set needed at least 10-15 minifigs included! It's the most empty cinema in the history of lego :) There were 2 small parts missing : the projector light and a limo windshield. But I'm sure that Lego will send me those later on :) The things I realy like about the set: It's the most beautiful modular creator set of them all! I love the detais, like: the sign "palace" is very good engineerd. The retro spotlights are realy cool. The building lights on the outside. The retro cinemascreen (black and with and the upholstery around it. The overall stile of the building, I just love that asian style roof. The "broadwak" stars in the tiles are perfect! Thank you Lego! :p

Great addition to our street

Straight forward build with some lovely little features. Especially like the movie posters and the sidewalk stars. Finished off one corner of our street very nicely. This is one build that would be greatly enhanced by a built in LED lighting system. Come on LEGO, I know there are aftermarket systems but they are a little DIY and expensive for what you get. Please consider add on kits that replace "lights" and structures (for cable routing) to light up these creations much like Power Functions are optional on other kits. Kit now becoming hard to find and on the retirement list for this year so if you have been thinking about getting it, best you hurry up.

Brickbreaking of Brickcity

This is my first modular building set and the best so far (for now). Already done with this and ready to start the next that I got with this one. This is definitely a corner building with the sidewalks, doors and sign placing at the corner, makes for a good start to any city setting. Fantastic set, easy to follow manual and the building looks great. I love some of the techniques used and had a lot fun building this. Now the time it took me well,,,, probably would have been done faster if I wasn't playing with it as I was building it. Kind of hard not to play with it as there is so much going on from the entry, snack stand, theater...

Fun Build

This is the third modular series product that I built (first 2 being 10224 Town Hall and 10218 Pet Shop). I would say that it is better than the Pet Shop, and close to, if not on par, with the Town Hall. In terms of build there was not much repetition, which was great of course. It was not super difficult at times, but had a few tricky parts (see the doors / palace sign. The interior is well decorated and good to see the nice little touches put on the candy bar and ticket booths. It would be nice to have a few more "technical" build parts (e.g. SNOT), but still very enjoyable. The number of pieces for this set is high, but be warned that many of these are the barrels on the roof design and lights on the main sign. The finished piece looks great, very impressive when it all comes together and quite tall (almost as high as Town Hall). Looks especially good with the other 2 sets I already have. I'd recommend this product to anyone who enjoys the larger sets (or anyone at all actually!).

Must Have for all Collectors!

This has got to be by far one of my favorite sets! The detail is fantastic plus includes lots of elements in rare colors. One of the things that I really like about this set is the movie posters I think this is a great addition to the set and makes it even cooler. The ticket window is also a nice touch. On the inside there is a beautiful staircase that goes up to the roof. On the second floor there are 6 seats for your minifigures to watch the film plus one to man the projector. The outside has amazing detail and is nice to look at. In conclusion this set is great for play or display and is a must have for anyone who buys Lego! Includes 6 minifigures + accessories and a limousine.

Finally I got this set!!!!

This is my first modural building set. And the best ever (for now).Also it`s the most beautiful and....simultaneously,most expensive. Allright, done with this. Now it`s time to speak about set. This set is likeable and unusual. Why? Let me explain (If you don`t want to read me just read the LEGO description above. So, this is a corner building and the doors and sign placing at the corner. That is doing this set unusual. Now about beautiful. Set is made like cinema from old years and it`s nice, I love it! Also he got posters on the left side and cashbox on the right. But it also has an interesting roof and a sign. So...... for that money you got: 1.Beautiful building 2.Some stuff likeprojectors 3.6 minifigures 4.A limousene I think it`s more that you thought Best set!!!! 5\5

Excellent Model

The largest set I've ever built and certainly the most imposing structure. I would typically stick to older models from the 80's and 90's so this, apart from the odd Star Wars model, was my first real jump into large modern Lego sets. The size of the box and the sheer number of bags inside was certainly intimidating but I found quickly enough that even without colour-sorting, it wasn't a difficult set to complete. Most of the difficulty came from repetitive actions and ensuring accuracy. The instructions were quite straightforward and easy to follow. The initial building of each floor begins slowly but once it begins to take shape, the satisfaction is immense especially when it came to the finished touches on each floor. While my heart still belongs to older sets, this will not be my last foray into large-scale Creator and modular sets.

First Set in 15+ years

While clearing my parents garage I found my old Lego sets ... built them up and found I was missing a few pieces. I found myself on the Lego site searching for spare parts to complete my sets and while browsing discovered these modular buildings....anyway I ended up buying the Palace Cinema purely because it was the cheapest in the range and I wanted to check these modulars out.....My first Lego set since I was about 12 (im 28) Fantastic set, easy to follow manual and the end product looks great. I love some of the techniques used and had a lot fun building this. It took me 5 hours and at no point was I frustrated or bored with the build. I will definitely be buying more and am kicking myself I took no interest in Lego for the past 15 years, wish I could go back in time to get the Emporium, it looks beautiful. There are some cons - I don't like stickers and the car is ugly, it does not fit in with the set. Overall 8/10

Great addition for any Lego town!

Now my Lego minifigs have a place to watch their favorite Lego movies! My kids & I love this set. I’ve been wanting this set since it came out, but just recently broke down to buy it. Get it while you still can! I have modified the screen to where you can slide a smart phone behind the wall to watch an actual movie, and when you’re done I can slide the original screen back in place. The only draw back is I did the modification in tan instead of dark tan since dark tan is a hard to come by color. Now all I need to do is to make a larger movie complex to accommodate a tablet such as an Ipad Mini.

So much fun!

This was my first Creator Modular build, and boy was it fun! My wife picked this up for me as I used to work in a movie theater years ago and love theater architecture. The designers on this project did not disappoint. Though the detail of the building is exceptional, I found the projector/booth area quite lacking in comparison (the projector reminded of the old public school projectors); such a nice theater needs a larger and better equipped booth! The good news is that I was able to create a nicer workspace and realistic projector at the sacrifice of the limousine along with the remaining/extra pieces. Hopefully my attached pictures do it justice, but it just goes to show that there is room to add more as well as make the set your own. I also moved the spotlights to the roof to help with the "premier" feeling. One could also use minifigs from either the Star Wars sets or Harry Potter sets and have your very own little premier with "costumed" customers. The hardest part of this would be to replace the outside marquee and auditorium screen stickers, but that shouldn't be too outside the realm of possibility.

Palace Cinema: Exceeds all Expectations

This is a great lego set that made me very happy that I was able to buy. It looks like a 1930s Manns Chinese Theater. The exterior is filled with nice details. The Marquee and the palace sign are things that make it stand out ( a good thing) if you have other modulars. THe inside is also very nice. The ground floor is where their are all the concessions such as popcorn, candy, even water. The second floor has room for six mini figures to sit for the movie. Finally the third floor. The third floor is very plain, but it gives room if you want to add creative things up there (who knows what you'll build?) In conclusion this is a great set with lots of playability and cool features.

I have and love all modular buildings, so I eventually bought this one too. It is nice, not very challenging, and I am sorry to say it stands years apart from items like the Grocery Store or the Town Hall... it always seems recently there could have that "little more" but the effort was not done...

Lego Finally Got the Heigth Right for Play

I added this title to my collection of City buildings like Emporium and Pet Shop, and was surprised that Lego finally decided to make the height of each level 11 bricks high, compared to the usual 7 bricks high of most other models. I have been custom altering these buildings with Pick a Bricks to raise the height of the rooms to 9 bricks high, this I have noticed gives my kids enough space to place their hand in there and play on them. Now they need to do something about giving the buyer enough pieces to open one side of these buildings so that kids can actually play in the rooms without having to move each level off to the side to open the ceiling and play with them, like who does that??? or has the space for it?

So Innovative & Fun to Build

I can't believe how far we've come. I remember having to search high and low to find special bricks as a child and even filing down some of my own to create the ones I wanted. Now, you can build practically anything! The Palace Cinema was a joy to build. I love the level of detail: ticket counter, concessions and even roof access (for maintenance of course). So happy to have purchased this. Looking forward to other CREATOR sets.

Awesome

The Palace Cinema is awesome. The only thing that I can criticize is the fact that there are only six seats. It represents a classic cinema in every aspect, from the marquee to the concessions stand. The detail is amazing! I think it is better as a corner building because you get to see more of exterior detail that is essential to make it look like a real-life cinema. I also like the included car because it adds to the glory of the structure. One-hundred-fifty dollars may be a lot of money, but the Palace Cinema is worth every cent.
