LEGO Spidey: Underwater Vehicles 11207

We love LEGO in our house. We started on Duplo when my little boy was small and he progressed onto ‘grown up LEGO’ when he was about four years of age. Since then, he has really got into the LEGO Ninjago range. Yes, it can be pricey at times, but LEGO really is a case of (in my opinion) ‘you get what you pay for. Sure, if you want to do a cheaper brick build, there are a myriad of unbranded Chinese brick build sets out there on Amazon. One of the main issues with these type of sets is that there can sometimes be missing pieces. We have never experienced this with any LEGO sets before. Yes, the Chinese sets are invariably cheaper than LEGO, but it usually is a case of ‘you get what you pay for’ with LEGO, as I say.Even before opening the pack, you know that you are going to be getting a quality toy with a set of LEGO and this specific build is no different….put simply, it just looks giftable! It comes in a well made and well decorated box, with graphics that represent the build inside and make it look fun. LEGO really have got this down to a tee, as you would expect. A lot of the Chinese sets come in generic boxing or are covered in Chinese lettering. I do find that these third party sets look somewhat cheap. Now we’ve got the presentation and general external quality of the set out of the way, lets talk about the build itself.This particular set is called Marvel Spidey: Underwater Vehicles - model number: 11207. In terms of size, I would describe this as one of LEGO’s small to medium sized sets. It has 154 pieces and it is currently prices at £29.99. Remember, LEGO set prices can be quite variable and have a tendency to fluctuate up and down, so it may be worth keeping your eyes on the set for a week or two to see if the price does come down a touch.I would describe this as an interim type of LEGO set - placed between Duplo and ‘grown up’ LEGO. It is based around Spidey and his Amazing Friends, which is popular with toddlers. On the box it says that it is for ages 4 plus and it features larger starter bricks. This is the type of build that my six year old would have enjoyed learning ‘grown up LEGO’ with a couple of years ago. It’s a fun build for little’uns, with Spidey, Ghost Spider and Doc Ock minifigures.
