Must have for Minifigures, good insight room design, many small details and easter eggs
This set is amazing! As a huge Spider-Man fan I knew I had to pick this up as a reward for finishing my latest college semester. I really appreciate the amount of detail & easter eggs that were put into this set & you get all of the necessary Spider-Man characters like his most important villains, other Spider heroes, & characters I never thought we’d ever get like Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat, & Blade. The only character missing is Mary Jane. Another thing I like about this set is it’s taller than any other set I have so it really feels like I got my money’s worth compared to other expensive offerings out there right now. I highly recommend this set because it feels like you get everything you’d ever need for Spider-Man in this one box except for a Mary Jane minifigure. I really enjoyed building this as well even though it took me a week to finish.
It was fun to build, but I had 10 pieces that were the wrong length, or I didn't have them, so it's not 5 stars.
This has got to be one of the best sets I have ever built, from the mini figures to the small little details! I had so much fun building this set especially with the fact that I have always loved Spider-Man! And if you do to I definitely recommend that you buy this set!

This Lego was the best build for a set I've seen (Outside of Star Wars) to date. The Mini figure line-up blew me away, as did the play possibilities! My little brother is mesmerized by the building and its captivating features, he loves Spider-Man and Doc Ock. I can't wait for another comic-book based LEGO set!
I really love this set, the minifigs, the all the details, plenty of play features, printing on the newspapers. One thing drags this set waaay down in my opinion. I needed to buy LEGO safe glue to keep a portion of it together. Putting together the portion the Green Goblin is breaking through is immensely frustrating, as it has very little structure. On top of that, GG on his glider is a serious counterweight on a lever, meaning he WILL break off at the slightest touch (or vibration of walking nearby). This results in more frustration as you will probably break the structurally bare wall apart trying to put him back in place. I'm still really glad I bought this, and I recommend the set, but any buyer should know about this. And I hope LEGO keeps this in mind in the future. I've never encountered a problem quite this bad, I'm surprised it got past review, LEGO is very conscious of making sets secure.
Late to the party on this set but always wanted it and it does not disappoint! Best Marvel set out there. I prefer the Bugle over Avengers Tower(which is awesome). The figure selection here is one the best Ip colllections out there. Bravo
This product came in a lot of packaging however everything was separated into chunks and was very easy to assemble. I loved building it, it only took me 10 hours over 3 days! Some people may not want it due to the number of pieces but once you get into it time flies and you don't even realize how many pieces you've used or held.
This is one of the greatest lego sets ever made, and I am so happy to have the daily bugle. The set has a unique build and looks incredible no matter where it is kept, even if it is on top of a tall shelf. There is absolutely no negatives except maybe the repetion of the windows and stability issues when building the windows. This however no longer becomes a problem when you build with freinds. Altough lego does not have its own build with freinds instructions you and your freind(s) could simply just use the lego builder app and build it in sections and the feeling of putting the all the sections together are incredible. The build as I said is amazing and is a real show stopper and the minifigure selections is mostly great. I only have a minor issue with some of the minifigures like dare devil, mysterio, firestar, and a lot of the civilians (but not as badly as the heros/villians. I feel a lot of the heros and villians should have had dual molded legs and mysterio should had a piece that was made in lego set 76174 which is a stand that now if you were to buy on brick link it is almost $30. This is unfortunate considering the set is almost $350 dollars but other than a few very small problems I think that this set is incredible and one of the greatest lego sets ever made.
Similar to another reviewer, I was not going to buy this set at all. While busy, the building itself looked like a bland grey blob in the images. I thought Its height would overwhelm any modular building setup it was in, the alleyways on both sides would make it look weirdly separate, the Daily Bugle sign looked comical, and all the reviewers claiming this was an interesting build baffled me looking at pretty standard and technically uninteresting interiors. And yet I gambled. Because I'm a sucker for the modular buildings, the Overwelmingly positive reviews, and that reviewer very simmilar to myself. And I'm so glad I did. I wouldn't call myself a Spider Man fan, and this not an MCU set. I've seen the three movie trilogies (save No Way Home) and enjoyed them but that's it. Nevertheless I love this set. As the reviews claim, the set was actually a very interesting and engaging build! You do end up building a lot of those big glass windows, but they're pretty spaced out by the interiors and the exploding Green Goblin section. Those huge glass windows also solve my biggest problem with every other modular because with this set you can actually clearly see inside all the rooms (except for the ground floor) without any fancy lighting kit! For display this really helps as there are so many minifigures (another plus) and allows for more interesting stories in the display. I've read from other reviews the Green Goblin damage can be undone with no extra pieces, which I'll probably end up doing latter and un-battle the set to further incorporate it with my other modular. When I do this, the clearly visible interiors will be even more welcome as that's where most of the figures and story will be. Compared to something like the old Detectives Office which has very dark interiors where most of the story is this is a godsend. Speaking of the other modulars, the Daily Bugle doesn't overpower them at all despite its size. I believe this is due to the largely grey and clear exterior. Rather than making the build stand out as a bland blob, this instead lets the eye naturally focus on the details, such as the billboards or battle, or the surrounding buildings. The only downside is that this set has a lot of important stickers that need to be aligned for the build to look good. But thankfully I learned the common (Lego recommended) trick to apply some window cleaner such as Windex to the brick before applying the sticker. This allows the sticker to be slid and adjusted freely for a few minutes before firmly sticking when the cleaner dries. It's a game changer, and pretty much a requirement for this set. So I'd recommend this set to anybody even vaguely interested in it. Do yourself a favor and trust the reviews. I believe this set is retiring this year as well so don't wait to long to pick it up!
Man where to start. I guess i’ll start with the many, MANY, pros of this set. Massive build with so many references and minifgures and so much to customize its amazing. I never really found the main windows to be very tedious to build (oh we’ll get to the tedious parts) in fact i really enjoyed stepping back after finishing a floor and seeing what had come together. Slowly seeing this skyscraper come together was amazing! I’ve loved spider-man ever since i went to the tasm movies in theatre's as a small(er) child. I loved the idea of just being this hero who sometimes fights big bads and mostly just chills around and helps people with tiny tasks as opposed to say the avengers. The minifigure selection here is just amazing, especially doc ock with those arms loved it! And the fact i can have spider-man trying to save gwen stacy while having spider-gwen (aka ghost spider) try to stop doc ock is honestly really cool! The customization is outstanding with you even being able to rebuild the green goblin window and then get ball joints to use as pieces to pose your figures after that is a very big (if unintentional) plus for this set. A spider-man lovers dream come true… of course then there are the cons. Lets start with the minor ones like me personally having to use extra pieces while tiny ones to make it so my set could be complete, not really legos fault just something that could happen to someone else, parts of the set can be VERY flimsy like the satellite tower where it comes off at the slightest touch, the floors while secure being put on, coming off is another story, they’re almost too secure because half the time instead of pulls off one floor i pull off 2! Which makes it so one of them drops and breaks. The green goblin window i mentioned earlier? Yeah I mostly rebuilt it because 1 the floor kept coming off with the other and the window would shatter more than if it was a regular window, and then the goblins posing piece never and i mean never posed how i wanted it to. It almost always went to the sides because the build was too heavy for it to secure which is kind of sad considering it like 20 pieces max. Then the building method for the floors were… stressful to say the least. Trying to connect them all at the end was a nightmare because all of the windows, and wall pieces never were secured up top meaning they’d be leaning too back or too forward making connecting them a 5-10 minute chore. Copy and paste that ~3 times and you have yourself a bad time. Theres also the fact that when you take down the floors, most of the time you have to take down the minifigures attached which can be a pain especially if you spent a lot of time trying to pose them and stuff. While those all might sound a little bad maybe even a little nitpicky I believe the pros of this build outweigh the cons 10 fold. Great build, more like this please!
This set is breathtaking. It’s a 4 story tall Lego skyscraper. Got this as a birthday present. It took 13+ hours to build and I loved every second of it. Great set, would recommend.
I purchased this set on its release date, so quite awhile ago. This set is great on so many levels. The build experience is very fun, the minifigures are phenomenal, and the size of this set is outstanding. I was exited to hear that Lego was finally releasing a skyscraper, as I needed some height for my Lego city. It’s nice that they allow you the pieces to not have to use the broken window section, as I preferred the intact one. Best Lego purchase yet.
You have a lot of fun while building it!
My GF of 5 years got me this amazing set for Christmas. She knows I love LEGO and knows my love for Peter Parker. The build was enjoyable at first, until you get to the windows. Although I didn’t have any trouble with the floor the Green Goblin is on I can see how that can be an issue. The minifig selection is awesome to me; loving The Punisher and Blade. Also DareDevil adds a flair (NWH). Once built my 10 yo who previous wanted no part of building has since built 2 sets on his own; as he loved it from first sight. I swapped out a few minifigs so I can make the Spider Verse vs The Sinister Six @kurlslegoworld
Lets be clear I very nearly did not purchase this set. As a collector of Lego modular buildings I had doubts that this over the top Marvel monster would clash with the sleepy old world charm of my 'Lock Down Street' project. My wife was even more adamant, " Don't buy that, it looks daft". But, I did and I love it. I added a standard white Lego lamp post on the front and increased the depth of the pavement by a couple of tiles to blend in with the rest of the street and just like that it looks wonderful. OK, as I chose to display all 25 mini figures on the outside front of the building its definitely 'busy' out there but I don't care. Oh and the wife thinks it looks fantastic, " its so much better in the flesh than it looks in the photos and although I can't explain it, looks really good in the street ". So in summary a gamble that paid off. Well done Lego.
This is by far the best LEGO marvel set of all time. No, not just LEGO marvel. Best overall set of all time. The minifigures selection is quite perfect for the theme of the set, and nearly all the minifigures are mildly rare. The set also includes some exclusive figures as well. The set has an amazing building experience, and looks absolutely amazing on display. It is a bit annoying to take everything apart because you have to remove a all of the minifigures set up. It is a lot taller than I expected, about the height of my dresser. By far the best set in my collection. Filled to the brim with Marvel comics references, as well as a few MCU references. This set is clearly based on the comics, not the MCU, though. I don’t think you’ll fully appreciate this set unless you are a big Marvel nerd like me. Overall, beautiful set in every way! Five stars in every way!
What an absolutely Marvel-ous set!! This was so much fun to build. The Daily Bugle is packed with tons of small details for longtime Spider-Man fans to appreciate, and I loved the amount of minifigures and references included from across Spider-Man media (comics, tv shows, and movies). There is so much to love about this set, and I had very few nitpicks with it. Not only does it work as an impressive and large display piece, but it also works as a great addition to any collector’s LEGO city, functions well as a play set for younger builders, and serves as a fantastic journey through the history of Spider-Man. LEGO is knocking it out of the park with their set releases this year and I hope they continue to do so. It’s clear that lots of love went into the design of this set, and it’s easy for a Marvel fan like myself to enjoy it.
I ordered this set on back order and it took about a month to arrive, but the package came in perfectly fine. It took about 11 hours to build it and I am very impressed. I think it was definitely worth 300$ in my opinion and I would recommend this to any advanced lego builder and collector. Not only is it worth the price, but the piece count and build experience is amazing too. The only annoying part we’re the repetitive windows but I really like how you can take them out and rearrange them. This set is filled with references and news papers from various Spiderman movies and video games and I think that was an amazing inclusion. And there are also many mini figures. I was surprised to find out that there are 25 well made figures, but not only that, but how a good amount of them are exclusive to this set only. Like Daredevil and Blade and I think they were amazing looking. Unfortunately, most of the minifigures are repeats from earlier sets this year, but since I didn’t collect those sets, I was very lucky to get them here. I’m also a fan of the clever and funny exclusive head peices like JJJ with webs on his face and a bandaid for punisher. Overall I give this set a 10/10 and recommend this to any Spider-Man and lego fan. This set was bigger and taller than I expected and really appreciate lego for making this one of a kind set.
