Amazon Prime Day 2026 ran from Tuesday 23 through Friday 26 June and is now over. To get the most from the Amazon.nl list today, start with the 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System: currently € 259.99 (at RRP against the recommended price). It is the largest display set in this guide, where a small percentage drop already saves real money, and Amazon.nl is often the seller itself. If you want something smaller or a gift, the 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy as a wall display and the 60502 Airport with Airplane as a family set are the logical alternatives. Prime Day was never a day where every yellow badge is a good buy, and the same holds outside the event: you only win when you know the recent lowest price and whether Amazon.nl is really the seller.
For LEGO, Prime Day is useful but not automatic. This guide stays current: the set list and live prices below work all year, so you are ready the moment Amazon announces the next event. Always compare current Amazon.nl prices against other Dutch retailers on the Amazon.nl retailer page.
The short version
Prime Day is a good LEGO buying window only when three things line up: the price sits below the recent Dutch price, Amazon.nl is the seller or shipper, and the set was already on your shortlist. If one of those is missing, a price alert is usually better than an impulse checkout.

Playsets and gifts
For gifts, the lowest price is not the only criterion. City, Minecraft, NINJAGO and DREAMZzz are often bought for a child, birthday or holiday period. Delivery date, stock and returns matter as much as the price drop.
Film, games and fan themes
Licensed sets are tempting on Prime Day because the subject is instantly recognisable. Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Disney and Animal Crossing feel urgent faster than a generic box. That is exactly why you should compare the price against the recent market, not just Amazon’s deal tile.
Where to be strict with Amazon.nl
The cheapest Amazon price is not always the best buy. A LEGO product page can have several sellers behind the same buy box. For each set, check this order:
- Does it say “Sold by Amazon.nl” or “Shipped by Amazon”?
- Is the delivery date specific enough for your plan?
- Is the price below recent Dutch retailers?
- Is this a box you care about keeping clean, for display or gifting?
When in doubt, choose the calmer route. A few percent difference is not enough if the tradeoff is an unclear seller, long delivery window or damaged box.
Why recommended price is not enough
Prime Day pages often anchor against recommended retail price. For LEGO, that is too blunt. A set may have sat below recommended price all spring and still be average during Prime Day. A smaller-looking price drop on a popular set can be good if the price rarely moves.
That is why I compare Prime Day deals on three levels: recommended price, recent Dutch low, and seller. Only when all three make sense does a set earn a place in this guide.
Prime Day versus Black Friday
Prime Day lands earlier in the year and usually has a narrower selection. Black Friday is broader, more competitive and historically stronger for large LEGO price drops. The right buying posture is different:

So do not use Prime Day as a reason to empty your whole wish list. Use it as a fast test: is your set genuinely lower than normal, from a trusted seller, with clear delivery?
Get ready for the next Prime Day
Well before the event starts, make a short list of no more than ten sets. Add your buy price to each one. Not “if it is on deal”, but a real threshold: below what price does this feel good?
During Prime Day, you only need to check whether Amazon.nl goes below that threshold. It is faster, calmer and much less likely to end with a set you were not really looking for. In the meantime, set a price alert on your shortlist so you never miss a real price drop outside Prime Day either.
