Nice car
Fun to build, beautiful result
Mustang, a nice building set.
Nice car, but it's missing 17 pieces as I received it. Not for display, but for storage in my cabinet.
Magnificent LEGO
I just finished building this amazing LEGO set. It's very well-designed and looks great.
Nice Ford
Ford with 2 options: standard or upgraded version. Great idea, top.
Power Mustang build
First off, mustang is not my dream car. But this LEGO Mustang is super cool and another great build by Team LEGO. I’m amazed that it took me so long to get into building LEGO sets. Every build has its unique features and all amaze me at my age. This Mustang is beautiful and it really nails Fords designs but in a LEGO way. Which I will say is spot on. The LEGO team has car builds splat on. The detail and the strength of the builds is impressive. Every build I’ve completed has great structure and they all hold together very good. This Mustang is impressive and I give a 9 out of 10. What a beautiful build
Really a wonderful set! If you are a fan of cars, it is a nice collectible piece.
A truly very beautiful set aesthetically, perhaps they could have done more with the interior, but overall a nice collectible piece. The price is justified.
An absolute classic!
Loved this build. Only my second personal build in the last 20 years, but have constantly been building through my children. Those always felt a chore as, kids being kids, want it all built then & now. This was dad time! A build spread out over 4 sessions (also required due to arthritis), with time taken to appreciate the complexity and engineering involved. I doff my cap to the genius who designed this.
This felt more of a challenge than my previous build (the 007 AM DB5), but I think that was largely due to the darker colours (took the use of numerous lamps). The finished build though is a thing of beauty. Just can't take my eyes or my hands off it. I think this set (and the DB5) has awakened the dorment Lego building beast inside of me. The question though - where to go from here?...
Only one minor piece missing from the set. You can't win them all. The missing piece is already on order though. Took less than 60 Seconds to sort it. Well impressed.
Great model of a classic Ford!
This was my first Lego set I’ve purchased and built in over 25 years. I grew up playing with Legos and I wanted to try a set again. I’ve been an avid Ford Mustang fan for as long as I can remember. When I saw this set I knew I had to get back into bricks.
The Lego Creator Expert title had me a little intimidated at first. After reviewing the detailed instructions and starting the build I began having great fun and enjoyment and soon felt great about my purchase decision. Long story short do not let the Lego Creator Expert title get in the way of your purchase decision. This was a great build and very fun at the same time!
The details of this car are phenomenal. For me, everything went together nearly flawlessly and I didn’t really have to second guess or rework any of my build. The car looks great and I have it as a display piece on my living room tv stand.
I feel very accomplished and happy with this build. Building this model has rekindled my desire to build with Lego’s again. I hope you enjoy the model as much as I do!
Marvelous piece of art
*Actually from Serbia, not Slovenia*
Despite being a really passionate Lego builder and a huge Lego fan, this is actually the first Lego set I've actually built solely for myself, but I definitely didn't regret this one. I've enjoyed he every single minute of 7 hours I've spent building this model for the first time. The model is so well detailed, as always expected from the Creator Expert category, and playability is great (although I keep it just for showcasing). I would recommend this model to anyone who looks for marvelous models for showcasing.
Masterpiece
This set is amazing. From start to finish, the building techniques used are impressive, and the design is so well thought out. It has a lot of features, such as folding seats, a functional steering wheel, adjustable suspension, double-hinged doors, and perfect closure... In addition, the car is beautiful, and the designers of Lego have achieved remarkable fidelity. I would say that this is the Lego set I have enjoyed the most, both building and admiring it.
You'll want to wax it when it's done!
I received this as a birthday gift - this was a very fun car to put together - and after finishing the Defender set felt like vacation! The model comes together perfectly and beautifully and when you step back and look at it you really appreciate it. Some very smart people designed this.
Fun build, however....
I really enjoyed building this. The build was challenging, and I made a few mistakes which I had to rectify throughout. The additional bits at the end were a real bonus.
However, I do have 2 bones of contention.
Firstly the finishing of the printed tiles is disappointing, they do not align or look right at all as you can see from the pictures attached.
Also, for the seats there should have been 6 * 4626904 pieces in the box, but there was only 2, and I had to use 4113233 instead. I dont think it looks to bad if I am honest, however it is not as expected.
Amazing car
I love this mustang and you will to after you see my pictures
Complicated and satisfying
This was really enjoyable to build. Like a jigsaw puzzle, you spend more time looking for the correct part than assembling it. Instead of large, pre-formed panels, this kit uses lots of small pieces to build the model, like older LEGO models. It is really well engineered and looks great. My only regret is that I have finished it!
Great set, recommended.
One of the most beautiful models ever, in my opinion. Hours of building fun with almost 1500 parts. Cool features, steering wheels, adjustable rear axle, opening doors, foldable front seats and backrests. Additional options include the blower, spoiler, and side exhaust, There are also several (non-LEGO official) building options available online, such as a convertible version or an American pickup. An LED lighting set is also available. Highly recommended...
The Mustang
Just a beautiful product of a legendary Ford Mustang fastback with many beautiful details.
There is enough to build.
Great idea!
The inner child
I bought this for 8999. It was 40% off. The LEGO Expert series is a great way for adults who grew up in the 90s to relive their childhood. The prices in India are mostly twice the retail price abroad. Having brought a few Technic and Expert series sets here, I would recommend people to wait for the discounted prices.
So cool!
Great LEGO set. I finished building it today. It was quite easy, I must say. A nice car to display.
Great 1968 Mustang GT
A great set for collectors and a really beautiful display. It is rare to find a LEGO set where you get a reasonable amount of parts for the hefty price. In this case, it is an exception. 1471 pieces for just under 130 euros, and since it is no longer an exclusive model, the price has dropped to under 120 euros. Here, both technical and regular bricks come together in a good symbiosis. In addition to the functioning steering, you can open the hood and the trunk. The doors can also be opened, and unlike many Technic models, they do not require repeated adjustments. Instead, you can open and close them repeatedly, and the doors still fit perfectly. Also, with the help of a gearbox, you can adjust the height of the rear axle steplessly. Unfortunately, there is no suspension. The model is intended to represent a 1968 Mustang Fastback GT, as seen in the famous film Bullitt with Steve McQueen. The wheels and fins match the original from the film. The shape of the rear is also realistically reproduced. The engine compartment is also lovingly reproduced with the then-common blue elements.
The build is not really a challenge and is easy and varied. There is the possibility to customize the vehicle with other parts from the set. You can attach a front and rear spoiler, build a container for a nitrided injection in the trunk, or "upgrade" the engine. The rear spoiler looks a bit silly, as it is only covered from one side. But it is definitely a nice idea. The only drawback is the lack of gray parts. The exhaust and wheels are made of "metallic" plastic, while the bumpers and lighting surrounds are made of gray plastic, which looks a bit cheap. There are a few nice prints, but the rear GT sign could have been printed. The Mustang in the grille is also a nice print, why not also on the back? But that's just complaining at a very high level.
In conclusion: A really beautiful set, it is fun to build and looks great in the end. Also, a relatively reasonable price, especially when compared to Austin Martin, 20 euros more for 200 pieces less. However, it is not a real toy, but rather a model for the display case.
