My grandson was absolutely thrilled with this item. Well...who doesn't love Legos?
very good product
Very clever design and makes me appreciate the designers behind this but the transformation is really painful and the doors kept on falling off. Should have been easier.
Fun to build, very nice. In both forms. Only for display, not for playing.
Perfect for Pairing with Optimus!!
Transformers fans, this is for you!
It falls apart very quickly and
The set is truly wonderful to put together and full of little Easter eggs within the build itself and the instructions manual. A nice addition of new building elements is included and a rather surprising vehicle mode build experience rather than a robot focused one like Optimus Prime’s was.
I was gonna give it to my son on Christmas, but just couldn’t wait!!! The box is huge! My son is 10 and recently been into LEGOs. I find that it’s not only fun, but also brain stimulating and good for motor skills. As a regular 10 year old he’s often using his electronics, unfortunately. But this, he was sitting there for 2 hours and building it. Also i never did legos as a kid because it seemed so complicated to me))) but I enjoyed helping my son, and instructions were super easy to follow. We are on day 4 of enjoying this Bumblebee)))
LEGO has put a lot of thought into the quality of this product.
When transforming him he's really fragile and a piece could always break off but otherwise he's cool
It was fun to build. But I sometimes found that the steps were not very clear. And I also didn't think the transforming part was the best. You have to remove quite a few pieces in order for it to transform. But overall, it was very fun.
Very fun and easy to assemble.
This product is so much fun! I put it together with my cousins and nieces and it was super fun and easy. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent and I will definitely recommend this to everyone!
Review Lego Transformers Bumblebee - 10338 Bumblebee is the well-known yellow Transformer from the Transformers comic books. Based on a Volkswagen Beetle. The box is very nicely designed with a sleek black background, Bumblebee as a large Transformer on the front. The set consists of 950 bricks, divided into 10 bags/steps. When following the instruction book, you start building the Beetle. The construction of the Beetle was clearly indicated in the instructions, and as you go, you encounter all the beautiful details, such as the small bite behind the car window. When transforming the Beetle into the robot in the last part, it was important to follow all the steps carefully, otherwise the arms will get stuck. I needed about six hours to build it.
I think the engineering in this model is amazing, and even better than Optimus Prime. Optimus' vehicle mode is boxy, which works for Lego bricks, but Bumblebee has curved surfaces. As I was building it (in vehicle mode), I kept trying to figure out how it would eventually transform into a robot. And I like how the face and leg plates are printed instead of stickers. I see other comments complaining about they can't transform the model from vehicle mode to robot model because the instructions aren't clear. To me, the instructions in the manual look exactly like instructions from the original Transformers toys: dashed arrows that you're expected to follow to move the parts. As for the issue of parts falling off, I would suggest moving the parts based on the instructions: in other words, move the pieces from the joint, not the ends. And as always when playing with Lego sets, keep a firm hand on it so the pieces don't fall off. Remember that this isn't a die-cast metal model like the original Transformers toys... and even some of those toys had pieces that would fall off if a part was moved too firmly. As for people who are "voting" for models of Decepticons, keep in mind that Lego *never* makes military models. This means Megatron (transforms into a gun), Starscream (transforms into an F-15 fighter jet), and so on, won't be turned into a Lego set. But maybe Lego can make the sci-fi Decepticons like Galvatron, Cyclonnus, Scourge, or Unicron.
As a Transformers fan, I was thrilled to see LEGO take on the iconic Autobot, Bumblebee. He is a perfect addition to any LEGO lovers collection. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the intricate facial expressions to the sleek, yellow paint job. The finished product is a stunning display piece. Whether you choose to showcase Bumblebee in robot or vehicle mode, it's sure to impress.
Nice technical set
Beautifully designed. The best representation of "Bee" so far. The competition, such as Mega Blocks, doesn't come close. The fact that it is transformable makes it even better!
Looks great next to Optimus. Now, Magatron?
