Motorized lighthouse
I was excited to receive this finally. It did not let me down. I loved building it and it looks great!
Land ho!
Such a fantastic set. Yes, it is a bit tedious at the beginning because of all the little pieces, but it is completely worth it in the end. And the little treasure cove hiding the switch for the motor is such an amazing idea, wife couldn't figure out how to turn it off!
Perfect Cozy Build!
This set is great, the build experience is cohesive, the motor functions are satisfying once completed, and the overall model is pleasing to look at. Props to both the Fan designer and the Lego one!
Very fun, it was also quick to assemble.
Super fun motorized set, highly recommended! However, it was quite quick to build, which was a shame given the purchase price.
It looks great!
I bought it as a gift!
Lego Lighthouse
It was bought for my Husband for Christmas he was over the moon with it. Great quality, good instructions. Well thought out. He loved building it.Value for money.
A brilliant build with an amazing light feature!
I purchased this LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse as a gift for my partner, and it turned out to be an absolute hit! The star of the show is definitely the working lighthouse feature - seeing the light actually rotate brings a magical touch to the finished display. It's these kinds of thoughtful details that remind us why LEGO continues to impress. The build process was enjoyable and surprisingly manageable. While there are quite a few pieces (2,065 to be exact), the instructions were clear and the building time felt just right - challenging enough to be engaging without becoming frustrating. The design actually makes sense as you build it, with each section coming together beautifully. What makes this set special is how it combines different elements - you're not just getting a lighthouse, but also a charming cottage and an intriguing cave section. The whole scene tells a story, which is something LEGO does so well. The scale is perfect for display, making it a real conversation piece without taking up too much space. The motorized light mechanism is brilliantly engineered and adds a whole new dimension to the model, especially when displayed in a dimly lit room. It's these kinds of interactive features that make LEGO sets worth the investment. For LEGO enthusiasts or lighthouse collectors, this set is a must-have. It strikes that perfect balance between being a fun build experience and a beautiful display piece. While the price point might seem high to some, the quality, detail, and working features make it worth every penny. The only minor nitpick would be that changing the batteries might be a bit fiddly, but that's hardly a dealbreaker given how impressive the overall product is. This set is another reminder of why LEGO maintains such a devoted following among adult builders.Pros:Working motorized light featureExcellent build quality and instructionsBeautiful details in the cottage and cavePerfect display sizeGreat addition to any LEGO collection
This set lit up my life. Literally.
I can’t say enough good things about this set. From the unboxing to the placement of the final brick it filled my heart with joy. It was such a fun build, I’m probably going to reverse build it and rebuild it sometime in the future.
It looks INCREDIBLE! It’s a real work of art. The build is challenging and fun. Loved the working lights. I highly highly recommend this set.
Nice set!
This set is wonderful to build. Luckily, I bought it at a significant discount because LEGO is really quite expensive. This set really had to be part of our collection.
Very nice build
This was a very fun build to create. The end result was a beautiful piece of art that I could display nearly anywhere and it fit well. A few critics though would be to have highlighted borders around the pieces that are added in each step of the instructions. Trying to find where each piece was added to the build because a game of wheres Waldo at times especially when working with the base. Secondly, I feel like for the price of this set, a quieter motor could have been created and included in the set. When it's on its like listening to a powered pepper grinder. It's obnoxious to leave on and listen to for long periods.
It's fun to put together.
I gave this product as a gift. The recipient was very enthusiastic and found it very fun to build. He was very happy with this gift! The lighthouse looks great, and the light makes it perfect.

Simple, Great 😃
Amazing Display Set
The Motorized Lighthouse set from the Lego Ideas range for me is the best so far despite the heft price tag. An absolute stunning design that includes motorized functions was a must buy for me. The base structure of the island/rock formation is wonderfully designed with the color schemes. A nice touch is the addition of the cave with a treasure chest and this is where the motorized components are hidden well underneath the base. The little house has chock full of details but feels little cramped for the two minifigures to put inside. The exterior design is beautiful with the stonework and love the dark red roof. The tapered tower design in white is stunning with windows and the working lighthouse was an enjoyable build experience.
Overall, this is a an incredible looking model that gives a realistic vibe with the perfect blend of colors that add a touch of sophistication. Even if you account for the power components, this is still a pricey set. I strongly recommend getting a third-part light kit that will enhance this set as per photos attached.
Spinning Brilliance!
I recently had the pleasure of assembling the Motorized Lighthouse LEGO set, and I must say it was an immensely enjoyable experience from start to finish. With over 2000 pieces, I anticipated a potentially repetitive build, yet I was pleasantly surprised that each stage remained engaging and distinct.
The initial stages, particularly constructing the bottom layer and the house, were not only enjoyable but also showcased meticulous attention to detail. The intricate elements within the house were a highlight, demonstrating LEGO's commitment to craftsmanship. Assembling these smaller components was both satisfying and rewarding.
The inclusion of the motorized light, emulating the rotation of a real lighthouse, is undoubtedly a charming feature. While it adds a unique touch, personally, I found it more ornamental than essential to the set. Its omission might have streamlined the set's value without compromising its overall appeal.
Once completed, the lighthouse stands as a striking display piece. Its aesthetic appeal is such that it seamlessly fits into any space within a home—be it an office, living room, or even a bedroom. The versatility of its design allows for placement in various settings, elevating the ambiance wherever it stands.
In conclusion, the Motorized Lighthouse LEGO set is a captivating build that boasts impressive detailing and aesthetic charm. Despite the substantial piece count, the assembly process felt surprisingly efficient. While the motorized feature might not be a necessity for everyone, the set's overall appeal and display-worthy nature make it a wonderful addition to any LEGO enthusiast's collection.
Awesome Build and Display Model
I absolutely loved every aspect of this build. I found it technically challenging at times, which was really great, and the different construction stages and many brick variations kept it really interesting. It's my first motorised model, but hopefully not the last. It's a really eye catching display piece and attracts more comments that most of my other sets.
Fire tower
It was fun to put together and there were many instructions, but if you follow them carefully, it's not difficult.
Beacon of Light
I was a little surprised that the Lighthouse was such a fun build. Very satisfying to see the progress unfold. The end result and engineering around the lighting is impressive. The only issue I had was with the printed instructions showing a clockwise axel rotation test once connected with motor. The rotation is actually counter clockwise at this point which gets reversed by additional gearing at the top of the lighthouse build. This caused some unnecessary stress thinking I had done something wrong and possibly needed to tear down the existing build. Hopefully Lego will correct with any additional printings. Otherwise, highly recommend this fun and eye catching set.
Very good product
It's worth it. The only downside is that Amazon doesn't package the items well, and the boxes arrive damaged.
Super LEGO set
The whole thing is really beautiful, and the building process is also great!
Motor! Action! Love this set!
I'm in love with this set. This is by far my most favorite set I've build. It's fun to build, has motorized function which makes it fun to play and little details like seagull, teakettle inside the lighthouse keepers house etc. I built this as a tribute to my father who spent many years at sea and always appreciated a good lighthouse.
