This starter kit is perfect for those who have never tried LEGO DOTS before. While the initial concept may seem strange, for those of us who are used to using LEGO in a "classic" way, DOTS offer a different way to play, focused on decorations and designs (which my children really enjoy). Regarding the price: It is known that LEGO sets are expensive, but having bought this set at half price (€20), I can say that the value for money is practically perfect! Buying it at full price could be discouraging.
I bought this set for my 7-year-old daughter, and she is thrilled. This was our first Dots set, and it has a good basic set of pieces to get creative right away. However, she still had some difficulty removing the small Dots bricks and usually needed my help. It can also be nicely combined with regular LEGO bricks.
Amazing set, the must-have for starting to have fun with DOTS. Lots of pieces, and a huge number of possibilities. It's a shame that the other sets in the range are not as high quality.
Perfect little kit for the little ones. They love being able to build and design with the dots. They are using them daily and love playing with their other kits too.
