The product description did not mention that it did not include batteries, which caused problems with the return and subsequent order.

Awesome upgrade for SPIKE prime

Great set to take SPIKE prime to the next level! There are more pieces in this expansion set than the core set, so you more than double your piece count. Really like the big robot wheels. The size isn't printed on the tire but it measures about 87 mm. If you stack 2, it's a pretty good size tire. The L motor with the set has no problem turning the wheels either. I also liked they included a color sensor. Combined with the prime color sensor it expands your coding options. There's also 2 x 32 length axel pieces. How often do you get those, right? I'm also intrigued by the 15 x 11 frame piece for a printed circuit board. I'm not at that level yet, but it's good to know I have the option :) Great addition for SPIKE prime.
