LEGO Mythical Creature Qilin 80066

We absolutely loved the LEGO Mythical Creature Qilin (Monkie Kid) set. My 12-year-old son had such a great time building it—he worked on it for about 2 hours and stayed fully engaged the entire time, which says a lot. The build was challenging enough to keep his interest but not frustrating, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The Qilin itself looks incredible once finished. It’s fully articulated, so he’s been posing it nonstop, and the details like the stud shooters, armor, and the 2-seat saddle that transforms into a flyer make it feel extra special. The added accessories, like the flying cloud and food cart, plus all the minifigures, really bring the whole set to life and encourage imaginative play. Once built, it’s sturdy enough for play but also impressive enough to display on a shelf. My son loves switching between play and display, and this set works perfectly for both. Overall, this was a fun, well-designed, and engaging LEGO set that kept my son entertained from start to finish. Highly recommend it for kids who enjoy mythical creatures, detailed builds, and creative storytelling.
