Small detail suggestion
Overall the build is very well executed and has some great features. The movement of the wings and reproduction of the original design is very well done.
My 2 constructive criticisms are: 1- the trigger while being nicely done could use just a slight bit more to rest your thumb against on the back side, perhaps an angled brick to prevent your thumb from slipping off.
2. Davinci was left handed. The mini figure is shown in the instructions with the quill in his right hand.
Other than that, I love the set!

Awesome but bigger than expected
I loved making this set and I think it has a great design. The moving wings and tail are a great touch with good mobility. The set was larger than expected which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just make sure you check the measurements so you dont have to adjust your shelves or anything. It's a great build to just look at and its currently displayed next to my Neuchwanstein castle, ship in a bottle, and fossil sets.

Awesome set and display
God lego real nailed alot of cool details.in this one. It makes one heck of a cool display piece when finished. I usually rotate sets, but i can always find a place for this one.
The building experience is a great as well. The genius behind getting the wings and tail to flap just right, while holding up to repeated playing sessions( i often find myself playing with the wing mechanism when i walk by ) is just a testiment to the skills.of.the designers at lego.
The build itself is really really.enjoyable. It takes around an hour to build, but has some tricky bits that required concentration that keeps it all interesting. You get to use those rope pieces too, which are always fun.
I love the printed details on the wings and leo.
I liked the build so much im going to grab another when its on sale for a friend just to show him what lego is up to.

Worth the build
I always love reading the little snippets of information that Lego includes in the build book! Super easy to follow the directions. It really “flies”!!!! I can’t wait to display this in my science classroom!!

Fun and educational set!
High-quality product as expected from LEGO, resulting in a sturdy and stable final product. This set also covers an educational topic. It is fun for both older children and adults. For children, it is also more fun and easier to give them a piece of history.

Best for adults or older kids with adult help
I wasn't sure why this was labeled 18+ at first, but I understand now. Let me just say it's a beautiful set. Very intricate. You need to be precise. You need to be firm but gentle. My 11yo helped, but he needed us there with him. It took 2 adults and one child 2 hours to complete. We messed up a part and had to go back, which was so challenging to fix. But the final result with the moving mechanism is immense. It's notlw in a hugh shelf away from the cats and the 11yo. I'm afraid to let anyone near it, lol.

Very fun to build, fantastic set!
I received this for free from Influenster and Lego in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is truly a unique set, and I have never had anything like it in my collection. The entire building process is set up in a very simple way. The instructions are easy to follow, except for one thing, but that applies to all sets in general. The brown and black pieces look almost identical in the instructions, which can sometimes make it unclear which piece you need to take.
Aside from that, this set is super fun to build. The amount of thought that went into this design is unparalleled. The details are so accurate, and the finished product looks fantastic. There is a built-in pull-back mechanism that allows you to move the wings. It is designed so that you can use the mechanism with one hand, two hands, or even while it is standing on the stand.
The entire machine is slightly larger than I expected. Building the wings was great! It took a little bit of puzzle-solving to figure out how everything fit together, but once they were on, the rest was easy. I love the color combination and the fact that I was able to build it in three hours. However, I chose to spread it out over a few evenings to make the experience last longer.
I would definitely build it again, especially at this price!

The flying machine with movable wings by Leonardo da Vinci is a fun building set for adults. The set includes a display stand with a minifigure of Leonardo da Vinci holding a quill and a sketch. Thanks to the display stand, you can display it at a nice angle in your home as a decoration.

I love building lego, so this was an amazing opportunity for me to test some, this set was a really fun build, with some unique features, I really liked that it all connected and there was a trigger to make the wings flap

Love this set! Easy to follow instructions and bags. Allows me to make such cool pieces! My family loves building legos, so we usually do it together. It’s neat to make a piece of history with the flying machine! Love love love and will buy others!

Very fun
I enjoyed every step of this creation. The instruction booklet is very clear and has interesting facts and info about Da Vinci throughout the pages. Careful of steps 155-157, easy fix just take out one link and then it all fits together in the end!

Love this set!
I really enjoyed putting this set together! It was a very quick build (1.5 hr), but really fun. The detail is great, & it will reside right next to the Amelia Earhart Tribute set (another enjoyable build). Look forward to any other possible sets of this ilk in the future.

Amazing set
This Lego building set is one of the most executive toy, Colour, shape and size - all of these makes the perfect display aesthetic toy that could be proudly seating in any office or cabinet. Building process wasn't very easy to be honest, but the instructions are pretty well explained, so you just have to follow. Definitely recommend it
