Lots of pieces and fun!
I was so impressed with how detailed this Nightmare Before Christmas set was! With over 21,000 pieces it took me about 4 to 5 hours to complete. I like that there was a separate book for each building, it made breaking it up into smaller sections to do much easier. There are so many characters and each building has fantastic details. I hope to see Oogie Boogie and his lair someday!

Awesome set for Nightmare fans
Absolutely loved the movie and when this came out, I had to get this set. Was a little sad with no Dr or Ooggie Boogie minifigures but maybe in a future set who knows. Was a little skeptical about freestanding roofs on the build, but overall loved the detail and outcome. Would recommend this for anyone to display.

Spectacular set!!
Wow, I’m speechless! This set is so detailed and awesome. It includes 8 mini figures including Zero, the dog. So many unique pieces in this set like spooky jackolanterns, gravestones, and perfectly placed landscape pieces. This is the most difficult set we’ve put together yet. My son is 8 and pretty great at legos and there was times he got “bored” putting this set together. I think it was just a little too much for him, he needed a lot of parent assistance. The set is VERY fragile compared to other sets we have done.

Great family bonding activity!
What a WONDERFUL family activity this Disney Nightmare Before Christmas Lego set this has been! In this day and age when families struggle to bond with their teens and tweens with screens as a barrier, the best suggestion I have is to get an intricate Lego set and work on it together. The instructions are easy enough for our youngest and clear enough for mom who hasn't played with Legos in over 25 years. With each page you turn through the manual, you feel like you are accomplishing quite the task, but it's so much fun! Once the box is conquered, you're left with a beautiful piece of - dare I say - ART to display with pride. I see now why these big sets are worth every penny. This is a gorgeous diorama of Halloween Town complete with all of its beloved characters. My kids, my husband and I all love to admire our work on this one and we made memories building it as a team. I definitely recommend Lego for anyone of any age!

Damaged upon arriving
When I picked up package it was ruined. Box had been dropped in water and muddy, torn apart to see box on the inside the same way. The stickers to set was even wet so called customer service and had to do exchange so haven’t got to put together yet. It was also on back order once buying it, so worried wont receive another in time. This also wasn’t only damaged box received, but product wasn’t damaged inside.

Looks great but build wasn't without its problems
I was really excited about this built. I love the film and thought it would be a good addition to our Halloween display.
Quite early on, I discovered missing parts. Fortunately, there were some used later in the build so I used them in order to continue. I also had extra parts which aren't on the parts list. Something that has never happened before. The other thing I found strange was the pumpkin fabric piece and Jack's shirt tails were in a brown envelope. This was not clear from the instructions and it took a while for me to find those items.
I'm unsure how sturdy this would be should someone want to play with it. I suspect that it would need reconstructing fairly regularly as there are some parts that are not very well attached.

AMAZING
This set is stunning in its design and well worth the price tag in my opinion. The detailing and shape of the buildings are fabulous. Yes it can be a bit awkward if moving as a whole but moving each section separately worked fine for me. I did have problems with the building of the fountain but I put that down to the fact that my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be. I'd have given this higher than a 5 star rating if I could and I take my hat of to the designers of this set.... it looks amazing

Disappointed missing peices
Love building legos!! But this set I was excited for has disappointed me to say the least. I build one bag at a time (takes me a few days/weeks to get though a larger set) and I was missing several peices not even half way through the bags. I keep having to put a parts request in to complete the set. One of the main peices missing in my set was the legs to jack, and when requesting the part it says it isn’t a peice. Hoping I can’t get it my neice was extremely upset when we couldn’t complete Jack after the time we had spent to get to him!
Love legos but hope they get the peice missing for this set figured out for the future buyers!

Spooktacular
This was our first adult Lego build and it was so much fun! It was well made and so much attention to detail. We are in awe of the creator and how intricate it was under all the layers. It was likeable to the film and instructions easy to follow. It was great to have some spare pieces just in case. Has made us want to buy more sets to build together.

Another damaged package
I love Lego and often put new sets away for the future, so packaging quality is important.
Unfortunately, every time I order from Lego.com the box arrives crushed and the graphics are rubbed off, because they do not use any padding and UPS crushes everything. I've sent back 3 sets this month already...
It's very disheartening to receive a package like the special new Nightmare Before Christmas set and discover it's been damaged by UPS and I have to refuse the delivery.
I'd love to see Lego provide a pick-up purchase option at the closest Lego store, which is an hour away from me, to get my sets without experiencing the continual damage.
Please Lego. Stop damaging sets by shipping with poor packaging and bad shippers. Please! 🙏

Most Perfect Set
My all time favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas! The detail of this set definitely did not disappoint! However, it has left me hoping that more TNBC sets will be made! I missed Oogie Boogie and Dr Finkelstein…maybe some things from Christmastown!!! Love LOVE LOVE this set!!! Thanks Lego!!!!

Unstable for Display
I am a NBC enthusiast, where my Christmas tree is littered with all the Hallmark ornaments and spooky-season sprinklings. When I saw this set, I knew I had to have it because it is adorable, and much more affordable than the ceramic villages you typically display. I got this so I could display it for the holidays (loving the fact that I can switch from spooky to festive), however there are some minor complaints I have with the overall build.
If you are actually going to play with this set, the ease in which you can take the tops off the buildings to access the interiors seems wonderful (especially since they have storage for the Christmas decorations)- but as I am going to display this, having 4 studs to anchor the top half of Jack's house to the bottom is very weak for something so top-heavy. I saw youtuber who went to transfer their set somewhere else and it fell apart because it was so heavy compared to the weak structure of the baseplate.
Now, I am by no means a Lego builder - I played with them as a kid, but was never really into it as much as my husband was. If there is one thing I have learned since my 5 year old has gotten into them is that you need to make sure things are structured so they are STURDY. I ended up going to the Lego Store in my area and getting more plates to remake the base so it had more structure (see photos). Spiral Hill's face is also a bit fiddly and I feel needs more connection points than it does, and Town Hall is the only one that seems pretty solid. I also plan on doing the unthinkable and using the 'Kragle' on some of the more fiddly bits, like the cats on Jack's gate and the fountain, as they are prone to falling/breaking off at a glance.
Also, I am sad there is no Oogie minfig, as he is my favorite. I am in the process of custom making one based off someone on the internet by interspersing parts from existing minifigs and altering them.
The tl;dr is:
--great for kids who will play with it
--easy enough for even my 5 year old to build, as he helped me rebuild it when I tore it apart.
--base plate needs more structure than what they have, and Jack's house / Spiral Hill's face need more connection points as it is very weak.
--Will use Kragle on fountain and cats on gate of Jack's house.
--No Oogie minifig

What is THIS!?
This was everything I had hoped it would be. Building the sets and being able to feel like I was finally a part of the movie, was fantastic. This movie holds a special place in my heart, home, and world and this was the PERFECT way to embrace the movie in a short few scenes. The only thing missing is Oogie Boogie!!! But if and when Lego creates an Oogie Boogie lego or Set for him, I will be right there, ready to click add to cart. I wouldn't be mad if Lego also began to create a Christmas Town addition to this set....Just saying =)

Love this!
If you’re an NBC fan this build is a must! 3 builds to do and each one looks fantastic, figures with it: Jack,Sally, Mayor, Lock, Shock and Barrel , also Zero sits by his grave too. (Personally I’m hoping they’ll do an addition to this set with Oogie Boogie and his lair too.)
All in all one of the best sets I’ve built.
I’ve added photos but I’ve split the set up as my shelf wasn’t wide enough
