As you can see, my kids had fun with it
My kids are obsessed with Minecraft, and this certainly wasn't their first Minecraft Lego set. As you can see in my picture: we have built it, the kids took it apart, and they rebuilt it with a few customizations from their other sets. I personally thought the Wither door was lame, but my kids had fun bursting it open. That's what really matters, isn't it?
The set is fun to build. It wasn't too hard for kids. It comes with a fun selection of Mob figurines.
However, the retail price is outrageous. This set is not very big. Honestly, I would value it at half the retail value. Lego seems to try to do a price per piece valuation, but then the "piece count" is flooded with small single-peg bricks. I wasn't 5-star impressed to begin with, but the overly-inflated price tag shocked me.

Engaging build
We had a great experience with the LEGO Minecraft Wither Battle Set. My son really loved building it and especially loved playing with it once it was assembled. The design is fun and captures the Minecraft theme well, which kept him engaged both during and after the build.
He did mention that it was a bit more challenging than other sets he had assembled, but was still able to complete it with some patience. Overall, the extra challenge made it feel more rewarding when it was finished. It’s a great option for kids who already have some experience with LEGO builds and who are ready for a bigger challenge.
Like most LEGO builds the durability can be up in the air. This set sits on a base, so it is okay to move around, but with care. It definitely holds up to play.

A complete success for Minecraft fans
I bought this LEGO Minecraft set for my 9-year-old son, and he loved it from the very first moment. He's a big fan of Minecraft and already had a few sets from the collection, so this was a great addition to what he already had. The assembly is fun, and as is typical with LEGO, it is well-explained and enjoyable to build. However, what he liked most was being able to add new characters and creatures to his collection, especially the Wither, which is one of the most well-known enemies in the game. Once assembled, it provides plenty of opportunities to imagine stories and recreate battles from the world of Minecraft, or to invent new adventures by combining it with other sets he already has. In our case, he immediately integrated it with the ones he already had, and he spends a lot of time playing. In conclusion, if you have someone at home who enjoys Minecraft, this is a very recommended set. It combines the construction process with the subsequent play, which is what children value most.

Hours of Mindcraft fun
I gave this to a ten year old boy. He loves Mindcraft and Legos so I was thinking this could be fun. He put this set together with ease and spent hours playing with it after. His favorite part was the Magma Cube. This set is durable with great colors. The pieces interlocked nicely and stayed together without breaking apart. I highly recommend this for kids entertainment.

Lego never disappoints! Amazing Lego set!
Great set, my son loved the design, unboxing was easy as all pieces are organized in numbered bags and the lego app is a good guide to put it together. The pieces allow movement for kids to play with it after assembly. Box is light-weight considering the amount the amount of pieces. Highly recommend Lego sets for kids of all ages!!!

A top Lego set for fans of the Minecraft universe.
This LEGO Minecraft "Wither Battle" set is very faithful to the game's universe. It is quite easy and very enjoyable to build, with a well-made and easy-to-follow instruction manual. The age mentioned on the box corresponds, in my opinion, to the building abilities of a child of that age, but it is necessary for them to play the video game to appreciate its qualities. However, it is smaller than what the image on the box suggests. The main advantages of this LEGO set are definitely its faithfulness to the game, for example, the "biomes" are particularly recognizable, the "Nether portal" is identical and even more beautiful than in the game! The creatures, apart from the "skeletons", are also very well made. The "magma cube" is mobile and gives the impression of living the game, just like the "wither" with its totem! In short, a perfect LEGO set for Minecraft fans, which is also fun to build and use!

Nice set, good quality, fun play, perfect level of
This is a cute set that is interactive for imaginative play vs just a display item. My son is 19 and the Lego expert in the house so he built the set and gave these pros and cons.
Pros: easy packaging to open no scissors required
Pretty fast build 1-2 hours
Decent amount of play features
Cons: Can be pricey at 60-70 dollars
Sometimes instructions aren't clear (could be a perspective issue from 2D to 3D which is common on Lego instructions)
The quality is good and what we have come to expect from Lego sets. The set is sturdy enough for play without the pieces falling apart but not so tight it's difficult to build or to destroy/disassemble in play.
This particular set is aimed at kids a bit younger than my teenager but he still enjoyed it. It was difficult enough to challenge and entertain for a couple plus he enjoyed the nostalgia of an old favorite game platform, Minecraft! I Lego and Influenster gifted this set to me in exchange for my honest review.

Perfect for a Minecraft lover!
An Amazon set for Minecraft lovers! The instructions are very detailed which is perfect if you have never put together Lego before. The pieces are smooth and come together well. It is a high quality set. The strider is my favorite out of this whole set and the armor is fun to take off and on. I know I can keep rebuilding this set and make new world infinitely due to the quality of Lego. So excited to continue building the whole piece!

Great gift.
I'm so happy to receive this Lego set for my son, who is now 7.5 years old. We're really excited about it. He loves building Lego sets, and his latest love is Lego Minecraft. He always looks forward to these sets, and then he can't tear himself away from this game for two days. I'm so happy, it gives me some time. Lego is certainly expensive, but they are of excellent quality. Everything we bought from another manufacturer was very difficult to assemble. But this construction set has all the pieces fit perfectly.

Perfect for little geniuses
My son loves Minecraft and this was an excellent gift.
The pieces are complete, the colors are vibrant, and the set is easy to assemble.
It's a good size, easy to store, or in my case, to use as decoration.

great for independent play & easy enough for a 6 y
This new Lego wither battle Minecraft set is awesome. My daughter and I had so much fun putting this together and playing with it! My daughter is only 6 and this set was for ages 8+ but she was able to do it with a little bit of help from Mom so it’s super easy and the packaging was so wonderful because you didn’t have to rip open boxes. There was thumb tabs for you to press to open and that was really convenient and nice. Also, they’re very good quality. They will hold up for a while and she can rebuild and make other things with this as well cause there’s almost 500 pieces. It even comes with instructions that my six-year-old can read.

A great set for Minecraft fans (and for building together as a family)
My son and I collect LEGO, and he's also a huge Minecraft fan, so as soon as it arrived, he practically assembled it himself… and he loves it. And honestly: it makes sense. It's one of those sets that not only looks good on the shelf, but also invites you to play and invent battles all the time. For those who aren't familiar, the Wither in Minecraft is one of the most "epic" bosses in the game: a boss that is summoned (doesn't just appear "for fun"), very aggressive, with explosive attacks, and leaves a very iconic loot: the Nether star, which is used to create the beacon. Basically, it's an "end-game" enemy that sounds epic to kids… and this set transmits exactly that.
As for the LEGO, the best thing is that it combines construction + action: the Nether portal, the sanctuary, the creatures (Wither, Wither skeletons, magma cube, lava hound…), and the detail of the "explosion/appearance" function of the Wither gives it a special touch because it turns the assembly into something more dynamic. It also includes accessories that help you create scenes (workbench, potion, axe, skulls, etc.), so it doesn't just stay at "assembling".
What we liked most:
- Very faithful to the Minecraft world (Nether, mobs, and setting)
- Good balance between playing and displaying
- Fun assembly to do together and then continue with "the story"
To improve:
- If it's for younger kids who play "rough", there are areas with details that it's best to handle carefully.
In summary: if you like Minecraft and LEGO at home, this set is a success. My son loved it from the first minute, and I liked that it had "fun" to play with, not just to look at.
