The children love these baseplates. We've bought several. Our daughter is a Lego addict and uses them to join her multiple kits. Definitely worth spending a bit more for the bigger version (this one) - you can fit so much more on it. They could do with a better range of colours in this size though.
It is as described. This is about the packaging. The box was much too big and could fit almost 30 of those toys.
Great, it arrived on time
Bought this Lego Baseplate (@ Rs 1195/-) couple of weeks ago for my child to use it to create his creations on the plate properly. I initially went looking for the same in the brick & mortar stores - Hamleys, Shopper Stop, WestSide, Saffire Toy store but funnily none of them had with them in stock though they had kept Lego stuff with them. Finally, I picked it up from Amazon when they became available as "Amazon Fulfilled" service.1. The size of the base plate is really big & can accommodate quite a few of the kids creation. Just to give an idea - fits into the big floor tiles but still leaves edges free.2. Mind you the plates are thin & delicate so you have to handle with care. Preferably ask the kids to play on the flat surface (definitely not onthe bed).A must have for Lego players as it assist you in keeping all those small small pieces in one place.
A great base plate for building awesome LEGO creations. Whether it's a desert scene from Star Wars or the lion enclosure at the zoo. Built creations stand securely on the plate – and the table won't be scratched. The plate is 25 x 25 cm (32 x 32 studs) and flexible. I have encouraged my children to place it on a flat surface. If the LEGO bricks are lying across each other and someone accidentally steps on them, I imagine they could break or at least bend.
I have beige, blue, and green. Having a baseplate makes it easier to create a play area and expands the possibilities. Also, it's easy to put it away unfinished the next day. The thickness is quite thin. It's about the thickness of a piece of paper. I'm not sure if it will break, but it's a good value for the price. Sometimes, Toys R Us has it for a better price. I think I got the green one from Toys R Us.
