When should you wait on a Technic set?

Waiting makes sense when the set is broadly available, the current price is still close to recommended retail price or several similar Technic models are on the market. That often applies to F1 cars and mid-sized race cars after they have been available for a few months.

Buying sooner makes more sense when the price is already clearly below recommended retail price, the model exactly fits your theme or stock is narrowing. Still, check whether the price is truly good rather than only visually attractive.
