A lot of fun to build and play with
My 4 year old son wanted this for Xmas after seeing it in a flyer and while It is says ages 7 and up I thought "we'll let's get it and see how we do".
We sat down one afternoon and I figured we'd do a bag or 2 and then take a break cause he is a fournado and doesn't tend to sit for long lol. Well he didnt want to stop. We worked on it for 3.5 hours start to finish and he LOVES it. There are a lot of super fun features like a trapdoor/tunnel, helicopter, boats, sharks, and his favourite was that they have a toilet to use too lol.
While I don't have a lot of recent lego experience I do think that the build experience and play value of this set is excellent. Can't wait to get him another set to build with him. Great way to spend an afternoon with your little one :)

Amazing Lego set!
My kids enjoys to play with legos, they can build and build a hundred times, this set is so awesome! Includes a lot of pieces and fun characters, our pop pop was a police officer and the kids always plays with this set pretending one of the characters is their pop pop arresting the bad guys! Great set for high level skills.

I absolutely love this set! Great experience to spend quality time with your kids 😍 the design is what really surprised me, so detailed and precise. The quality is exactly what you would expect from a Lego set. It definitely will take you hours to build this one in particular, but well worth it!
Best Birthday Present and time spent!
My son had a great time building this Lego set since he had been anticipating the birthday present since he saw it in the Lego Magazine. He is really getting more experience as he is building more and more Lego sets.
Zal de politie de boeven op tijd oppakken??
Lego city is al dik twee jaar helemaal "Hot" bij mijn zoontje. Van tv-serie, switch game tot de lego sets. Zoals je gewend ben van lego, is ook het gevangeniseiland van superkwaliteit en zitten er veel verbogen pareltjes in. Het maken van het eiland kan in delen gedaan worden, dit hadden wij ook gedaan. Het duurde anders veelte lang voordat hij ermee kon spelen. Bij iedere gedeelte (zak) zitten ook poppetjes, dus zijn fantasie kan al te loop. Het trots momentje was wel toen hij helemaal klaar was met het eiland. Het leuke vonden we de wasmachine welke lekt, de donuts bij de politie, de open speelplek waar je kan ontsnappen en natuurlijk het slaapgedeelte met het bed. De serie is leuk te combineren met andere sets, zoals de politieboot en de boevenschuilplaats. Hierdoor ontstaat er een hele leuk verhaallijn, met uren speelplezier. Tot nu toe speelt mijn zoontje er iedere dag mee!! En zal die er zeker nog wat maanden, wellicht jaren ermee spelen.
AMAZING SET! LEGO FAN FOR LIFE!
LEGO enthusiast here!! I absolutely love anything and everything LEGOS! This super awesome set is a part of the LEGO city collection. It is LEGO set 60419 including 980 pieces and in no way does this set disappoint! LEGO is always top tier quality and personally, I think, unmatched! I was able to complete this set in just a couple hours while taking breaks in between and think it would be great for kids age 7 maybe 8 and older. I personally love to collect all types of sets from simple and easy to expert and am so happy to add this to my display. It is so detailed with the hidden escape hatch, sliding prison doors, the photos in the prison cells and break room, the rolling cart that goes out to the raft and don’t forget the security watching the basket ball on the computer with his donut! There are so many small details that I could name off that I just absolutely love about this set. I really like that it comes with so many figures and different types of animals. There are 7 figures, a dog, a crab, a shark and a frog. All the small details of the moss on the rocks and nautical items really pull the set together. Children could have hours of fun playing with this set because I know I could. I also want to add how vibrant all of the colors are of the pieces which really makes it stand out. I am really impressed with this set especially for the price point. It is definitely worth every single penny! It does come with some stickers that you will have to place on certain bricks but as long as you follow the directions you’ll be peachy! For your enjoyment I’ve added a time lapse video of the build from beginning to end! I LOVE MY LEGOS! Now on to my next set!
Eindeloos bouw en speelplezier!
Honderd procent waar voor je geld! Wat kunnen ze bij Lego toch veel spelelementen en mogelijkheden verzinnen in een toch redelijk compacte set. Een volledige gevangenis met uitkijktoren, helikopter landingsbaan, cel, buitenplaats, waskelder enzovoorts. En dit zijn dan alleen nog maar de politie elementen! Wanneer je de boeven speelt heb je meerder mogelijkheden te ontsnappen aan de politie en ervandoor te gaan. De set zelf is geordend en genummerd verpakt waarna je snel kunt beginnen met bouwen. Ook de boekjes zijn genummerd en dit was voor mijn zoon van negen jaar prima uit te voeren. Het bouwen zelf heeft ongeveer vijf uur in beslag genomen wat denk ik toch bovengemiddeld is. Hij vond het niet moeilijk maar moet soms wel even goed kijken omdat het niet per blokje duidelijk wordt gemaakt waar deze komt. Uitdagingen genoeg dus om het ook educatief te maken! Urenlang bouw en speelplezier!
Ontsnappen maar!
Mijn zoontje vond het een super leuke set om te bouwen! Leuk ook dat de verschillende onderdelen in losse boekjes worden gebouwd. Hierdoor kon ik hem mooi over 2 dagen verspreiden.
Hele leuke set, met mooie details (gevangenis, de grot, luchtplaats en ontsnappingsmogelijkheden). Leuke toevoeging voor alle politie die hij al heeft. Maar hier de boeven te laten ontsnappen via de buis maakt de set extra leuk voor hem.

Great Building Blocks
This is the box it came in- absolutely massive! I had no idea that it was going to be so large. After constructing it with my daughter, I find that this brand of building blocks is arguably the best. The blocks click together easily, and instructions are easy to follow. I would recommend this to a friend for sure!

This was one of the funnest. Lego said we put together has a lot of cute features to it. My son absolutely loved it putting together he’s eight years old and he managed to do it all by himself a great product, super durable, and the price for this was on point

We love this brand. We always stop by the Lego store to find more boxes to make as a family. One of our go to brands to gift as well. They are very durable and easy to use. Great for family time together.

Lego toys need no review. They are already the best for any age group. My 7 yo was happy to receive police prison island. She was excited with the size if it and loved to build the set. Though it took days to build it and the little one destroyed it quickly but both my kids enjoyed and loved it. The helicopter, shark and the tower all was fun to build.

I have never done a big build from Lego before but this was so simple and painless! The kit included almost 1000 pieces so it took a few hours to do. There were 9 separate bags with all seperate books for each section and piece. It was so easy to build. Every direction was perfect. Only one part needed a little thinking o it side of the box and that was a rock wall for the outside. It was really fun to build and even more fun to play with!! My kids and I loved it. Cool little details everywhere like a rec room and in the tower the guard is watching the camera in the rec room. Basketball and hoop. Brick details everywhere and a sliding jail door which its mechanics are so brilliant! The slide is fun and the roll away cart is an awesome touch with the tree blocking the way of the escape. It come with an escape boat, police boat and a helicopter! We’ve already had days of fun with it and play to keep it built and continue to play!! Such a great great build! Ready to go on to bigger now!
Leuk om te bouwen en om mee te spelen
Set bevat veel blokjes en boekjes om een tijd lang lekker te kunnen bouwen. Zitten ook meerdere grapjes en verrassingen in die uitnodigen tot spelen en het bedenken van verhalen. Voor onze zoon was het niet moeilijk om te bouwen (maar wel veel, dus wel een tijdje bezig), maar hij speelt er ook heel veel mee. Verschillende soorten gevangenisdeuren (vindt hij geweldig).

I think Lego is the toy that every kid wants to have. 3yo and 30yo. It makes a lot of fun to built, to put your brain, your fantasy at work. I highly recommend it to everybody.
