A lot of fun to build and play with
My 4 year old son wanted this for Xmas after seeing it in a flyer and while It is says ages 7 and up I thought "we'll let's get it and see how we do".
We sat down one afternoon and I figured we'd do a bag or 2 and then take a break cause he is a fournado and doesn't tend to sit for long lol. Well he didnt want to stop. We worked on it for 3.5 hours start to finish and he LOVES it. There are a lot of super fun features like a trapdoor/tunnel, helicopter, boats, sharks, and his favourite was that they have a toilet to use too lol.
While I don't have a lot of recent lego experience I do think that the build experience and play value of this set is excellent. Can't wait to get him another set to build with him. Great way to spend an afternoon with your little one :)

Amazing Lego set!
My kids enjoys to play with legos, they can build and build a hundred times, this set is so awesome! Includes a lot of pieces and fun characters, our pop pop was a police officer and the kids always plays with this set pretending one of the characters is their pop pop arresting the bad guys! Great set for high level skills.

I absolutely love this set! Great experience to spend quality time with your kids 😍 the design is what really surprised me, so detailed and precise. The quality is exactly what you would expect from a Lego set. It definitely will take you hours to build this one in particular, but well worth it!

Best Birthday Present and time spent!
My son had a great time building this Lego set since he had been anticipating the birthday present since he saw it in the Lego Magazine. He is really getting more experience as he is building more and more Lego sets.

Will the police catch the villains in time?
Lego City has been a huge hit with my son for over two years. From the TV series to the Switch game and the Lego sets, it's all he wants. As you'd expect from Lego, the Prison Island is of high quality and contains many fun details. The island can be built in sections, which we also did. This would have taken much longer if we hadn't. Each section (bag) also comes with minifigures, so his imagination can run wild. The highlight was when he was finally finished building the island. We especially liked the leaking washing machine, the donuts at the police station, the open escape area, and of course, the sleeping area with the bed. The series can be combined with other sets, such as the police boat and the villain's hideout. This creates a fun storyline with hours of playtime. So far, my son plays with it every day!! And he will definitely play with it for a few more months, perhaps even years.

AMAZING SET! LEGO FAN FOR LIFE!
LEGO enthusiast here!! I absolutely love anything and everything LEGOS! This super awesome set is a part of the LEGO city collection. It is LEGO set 60419 including 980 pieces and in no way does this set disappoint! LEGO is always top tier quality and personally, I think, unmatched! I was able to complete this set in just a couple hours while taking breaks in between and think it would be great for kids age 7 maybe 8 and older. I personally love to collect all types of sets from simple and easy to expert and am so happy to add this to my display. It is so detailed with the hidden escape hatch, sliding prison doors, the photos in the prison cells and break room, the rolling cart that goes out to the raft and don’t forget the security watching the basket ball on the computer with his donut! There are so many small details that I could name off that I just absolutely love about this set. I really like that it comes with so many figures and different types of animals. There are 7 figures, a dog, a crab, a shark and a frog. All the small details of the moss on the rocks and nautical items really pull the set together. Children could have hours of fun playing with this set because I know I could. I also want to add how vibrant all of the colors are of the pieces which really makes it stand out. I am really impressed with this set especially for the price point. It is definitely worth every single penny! It does come with some stickers that you will have to place on certain bricks but as long as you follow the directions you’ll be peachy! For your enjoyment I’ve added a time lapse video of the build from beginning to end! I LOVE MY LEGOS! Now on to my next set!

Endless building and playing fun!
One hundred percent worth your money! Lego can come up with so many play elements and possibilities in a relatively compact set. A complete prison with observation tower, helicopter landing pad, cell, outdoor area, laundry room, etc. And these are just the police elements! When you play the villains, you have multiple opportunities to escape the police and run away. The set is neatly and numbered, so you can quickly start building. The instruction manuals are also numbered, which was perfect for my nine-year-old son. The building itself took about five hours, which I think is quite a bit. He didn't find it difficult, but he did have to look closely at times to figure out where each piece went. There were plenty of challenges to make it educational! Hours of building and playing fun!

Escape!
My son thought it was a super fun set to build! It's also nice that the different parts are built in separate booklets. This allowed him to enjoy it over 2 days.
A really fun set, with nice details (prison, the cave, air vent, and escape options). A great addition to all the police sets he already has. But letting the villains escape through the pipe makes the set extra fun for him.

Great Building Blocks
This is the box it came in- absolutely massive! I had no idea that it was going to be so large. After constructing it with my daughter, I find that this brand of building blocks is arguably the best. The blocks click together easily, and instructions are easy to follow. I would recommend this to a friend for sure!

Lego toys need no review. They are already the best for any age group. My 7 yo was happy to receive police prison island. She was excited with the size if it and loved to build the set. Though it took days to build it and the little one destroyed it quickly but both my kids enjoyed and loved it. The helicopter, shark and the tower all was fun to build.

Wow!
I have never done a big build from Lego before but this was so simple and painless! The kit included almost 1000 pieces so it took a few hours to do. There were 9 separate bags with all seperate books for each section and piece. It was so easy to build. Every direction was perfect. Only one part needed a little thinking o it side of the box and that was a rock wall for the outside. It was really fun to build and even more fun to play with!! My kids and I loved it. Cool little details everywhere like a rec room and in the tower the guard is watching the camera in the rec room. Basketball and hoop. Brick details everywhere and a sliding jail door which its mechanics are so brilliant! The slide is fun and the roll away cart is an awesome touch with the tree blocking the way of the escape. It come with an escape boat, police boat and a helicopter! We’ve already had days of fun with it and play to keep it built and continue to play!! Such a great great build! Ready to go on to bigger now!

It's fun to build and play with.
The set contains many bricks and instruction manuals to allow for a long time of building. There are also several jokes and surprises that encourage play and the creation of stories. For our son, it was not difficult to build (but it did take a long time), but he also plays with it a lot. There are different types of prison doors (which he loves).

I think Lego is the toy that every kid wants to have. 3yo and 30yo. It makes a lot of fun to built, to put your brain, your fantasy at work. I highly recommend it to everybody.
