AWESOME SET AT AN AWESOME PRICE!

I bought this set 3 years ago for my daughter when we went to LEGOLAND near Orlando (we go every year to Disney World and I thought I would spice it up and go to other places too and she loved it) and I had a discount on it. It was the largest set offered by Lego at the time, but it said "16+" and my daughter was just 8 years old. I went online later and checked YouTube videos...one said that if you want to build this set "you should be old enough to drive"...this was an expert Lego builder and he said it took him 12 hours to build...but I caved in to my daughters insistence. Though just aged eight, this time, I didn't want to give her any help and thought "go for it and let's see how you will do". It was a test to see her potential. All I did was give her some advice...sort the pieces before you begin. The bags are clearly not demarcated and labeled (like the Orthanc Tower set), so all the pieces are all over the place. Sort the pieces first and then go from there is all I told her....and I got her some sorting bowls and Tupperware to help her sorting. She finished the bridge in near record time...just 9 hours....I was so proud. She has it in her to be like me. I used to make my own designs like an Air Wolf helicopter from "regular" Lego pieces that I got back in 1977. That was just imagination and ingenuity to use what you have. I still have that helicopter...but it is broken because some kids who were over for my daughters birthday found it in her room and tried to "make it fly" from the balcony of my house...shattering it and I can't find all the pieces... Now, I must challenge her with more difficult projects...the Taj Mahal and the upcoming Millenium Falcon. Hmm, I might want to help her with that one! 7600 pieces? Really? That is awesome! Well, she already did the exclusive TIE Fighter and loves Star Wars and wants more Star Wars kits, so this new Falcon should be an awesome addition (too bad it is very expensive...$800)...maybe I should go visit LEGOLAND again and see if I can get a 50% discount again! Oh, pair this with the London Tower (Big Ben) and you will have a great combination! The two really compliment each other, imho, and will look great together (anywhere in your house that you wish to showcase them).

Just WOW! Totally Awesomeness!!

I bought this set because I thought it would be fun to try a 4000+ set. It was fun building it. I didn't sort any of the pieces but did take someones advice to build the 2 towers at the same time to save time. It was a huge help. You will also have less errors as you go. The draw back was the bags not being numbered but it made it that much better. You had to think a bit about how to put it together. I would love to see more sets like this. Maybe an ice hockey areana or football stadium could be cool.

A Must Have in the Creator Series

The build is fun and the finished model is a great piece to display on the coffee table or mantle. At times during the build, there seem to be an infinite number of 1x1 bricks, but its totally worth it - the building wouldn't have that masonry look if they used larger bricks. Pictures don't do this model justice, that said, here are a couple of pics.

An impressive center piece

A somewhat repetitive build, but great fun for two people to build together, since the two towers are identical. You'll need some available space to exhibit this one, but it's sure to get a lot of attention from visitors, Lego fans or not. It looks great! :) Hard to tell how long it took to build, since we put up the towers simultaneously, and we did it over three evenings. Bags are not numbered, which is kind of a drag...

I Love This Set

Every year my parents buy my brother and I a lego set for Christmas. This has been going on for years (we are now 24 and 27 years old). This year we got the Tower Bridge set. This set is AMAZING but requires a lot of patience and organization. It's definitely not for a casual builder. It's great as a team/group project because there are two of almost everything so you can complete tasks simultaneously and skip ahead for different small projects like the tower tops and cars when you need a break from the monotony of attaching tiny tan triangles to long, flat pieces. This is definitely the most complex Lego set I have ever worked on and it requires a lot of attention but it's great! The detail is amazing and the scale of the build is really impressive. Best gift I've gotten in a while!

Dream set for every LEGO fan!

My hubby gave this set as my birthday gift. I decided to build it with my 7Y son and 5Y daughter. The hardest part is definitely the sorting. Once you figured out how to sort in your own way, even two little kids can do most of the work. It took one Stanley sorting box and several lids of plastic storage bins. Also, since I worked with my kids, where to build is important, too. We worked on IKEA "LÄTT Children's table and 2 chairs," you won't accidentally drop any tiny LEGO piece because the edge of the table is slightly higher than the table surface. Believe me, this table and chair set is very good for kiddos to play LEGO. We did it in a casual way, and it took us five days to finish. I would say we played 2-3 hours per day.

MOM friendly review - Organization of 4295 pieces!

Lego Model 10214 Tower Bridge ...... It is a great lego structure... We bought this for our son... Only downside is usually Lego sets have bags of pieces labeled to ease the strain of finding the piece the directions are talking about---NOT THIS SET!!!!! My son was a little disappointed ..... So..... MOM TO THE RESCUE ACTION!!!!! This is what I did.... It took me many hours ..... LOVE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS !!!!

Amazing monstrous piece

This was the first LEGO set that I bought in several years and all that I can say is that was absolutely addictive, it was difficult to stop before it was finished. It took me 10 hours and a half over 4 days. Once I opened the box it seemed that the amount of bags did not stop appearing. I chose to not separate the pieces in advance, opting to grouping the type of bags and keeping the parts in them. I had difficult in find only two pieces and one of them was my fault, I dropped it in another bag by mistake. It became a little bit repetitive in some parts because everything is done in doubles and there's a lot of sections built with a huge amount of small pieces. As soon as the final result takes shape it became even more thrilling and when it's finished makes you want to admire it. In resume, it's a must have to a LEGO collector and will definitely occupy a highlight space (a huge one) in your room.

Hours of play enjoyment

I bought the Tower Bridge as a birthday gift for my husband, who is a big fan of LEGO. He was very happy with the Tower Bridge. It took him almost 10 hours to build, so I can definitely recommend it if you're looking for something to relax with :)

Stunning build!

I finally took the plunge and bought this Lego set and I was not disappointed. Quite the detailed build but overall your finish product will look stunning. I was able to put mine on a corner ledge after completion and it fits the room perfectly! 3 books take you through this build and it can be quite tedious with all the small pieces. Only downside I found (compared to other sets I've built) is that the pieces are fairly scattered. I think Lego should stick with their numbered bags idea for building. It does make it a lot easier when trying to build rather than needing several trays to organize and even then sometimes spend extra time searching for that one tiny piece that always seems hidden.

Lightning TowerBridge LED

Hey, I build the Tower Bridge and builded some LED's in the construction.

Sooo Many Bricks!

What a task this was - took me about four hours just to count pieces and sort them into separate "sections" ( I used various and sundry items to hold the bricks until time to use) I even used small plastic baggies. This was a great challenge - took me about 20 hours over a period of five days. My arthritic fingers were never so busy. Loved it - Great addition to my city but right now have to find a place to put it somewhere in my house. As I said, loved it!

Quite a challenging build and in parts very repetitive but the final result is breathtaking !!! Only for the experienced fan!!!
