Wonderful piece - top quality
I rediscovered the Lego microbe set. I now have many Lego space sets, and this one is truly a masterpiece. The pieces are of very high quality (as always), the instructions are easy to follow, and the scale of the pieces is ideal. Also, a special plus point is the baseplate, which makes the set really complete. I was able to easily order this on Bol, and the delivery time was definitely fine! It's a shame that it's always so addictive, but that's just the effect of Lego.

Best set Ever!
This set is special, looks almost like a real Apollo, and everything is so real, engines, heat shields, felt like i was building real space ship... best set ever, only blacktron or space police form 90s can compare:)

This is my favorite set to date
I just finished this build, and it’s by far the best piece I’ve ever built. I can’t quite put my finger on it but something about this set has me completely enamored of it. The build was repetitive, but fun. It took me no more than a couple of hours total. The end product is just stunning. I absolutely love this set. It displays so well next to my ISS, Saturn rocket, and (not pictured) space shuttle/Hubble.

Absolutely Fantastic!
I'm complete space history nerd. My wife bought this kit for me out of the blue and I couldn't be happier with it (except if it came with the command module and service module). The attention to detail is as perfect as can be expected and I highly recommend this kit to any educators/hobbyists who want to teach about the moon landings.

Great Historic Model
Love this build & NASA & Space builds in general, I purchased a remote controlled light kit for this ,I will post photos when installed, I might also purchase display case.

Highly detailed lander!
Since I own all of the space kits I decided fo purchase this to finish my collection. Not hard but looks amazing finished. Looks very cool on display and is very solid. Removing some of the snap together pieces like to expose the inside are a little problematic but still worth it. Well worth the money.

The Eagle has landed...
Built this set along with my 9yr old son. Great way to get him interested in space and visually show him how the moon landing/liftoff worked.
Set is solid and is a good size. I love that they included the moon portion, it adds a lot to the set and makes it come alive. The gold "foil" pieces are well done and make the lander stand out. Flag arm patches on the mini-figs would've been great, but the NASA torso's are still well done.
Would definitely recommend this set to any space LEGO enthusiast, or parent who enjoys building along with their kid.

Small Step or Giant Leap
This was an incredible build, I was completely absorbed by the techniques used and the way it all came together to make this iconic piece of Space History. Normally having to construct the base plate is a frustrating experience but this was detailed enough to make it a good experience and it really does give a great looking moon surface for the Lunar Lander to be displayed on.
A fair number of stickers with this one and, as we know by now, I am not the greatest at attaching them. Even worse some of the most important ones (ie. those on the outside of the model) have metallic finishes. The metallic stickers REALLY show if you need to peel off and re-add so I was worried. However, I was advised to use the end of the brick seperator that you would normally use for lifting flat tiles and it was a game changer. So, my sticker fu improved exponentially on this kit.
On display it looks really eye catching and stands out on my overcrowded shelving. The instruction manual has a lot of interesting information about the actual Lunar Lander used back in 1969 and also a really detailed blueprint of it. The only issue I had was the blueprint was kind of small so you can't see all the fine detail but that is me being picky.

Amazing design and detail
From age 5-15, I bought all kinds of LEGO sets, and now, at 40, have started appreciating some of the larger, significant sets instead of mixing all the pieces together as toys. This set was extremely impressive in the design of the construction, the thoughtfulness of the detail, fun of building the sections (the base in particular was a great surprise), and the beauty of the finished product. The instruction booklet came with fascinating info, and some parts are even hidden in the final construction. If I had any complaint, it would be the use of stickers instead of printed pieces. The playability is tight, but the colors and display size are captivating.

It all happened because of one small step
I thoroughly enjoyed building this set. The design is well developed and the manual provided insight into the structural choices made by NASA. The gold bricks and sticker looked better than expected too.
I just wished LEGO had named the astronauts (Neil and Buzz) to complete the commemoration for this amazing leap for mankind.

Great model of LEM
I had a great time building it. Overall, it is a great representation of the Apollo LEM. I did make some changes to it. I did not like the helmet/backpack so I made my own version of the PLSS backpack. I also made changes to the Rendezvous Radar antenna, S-Band Steerable antenna and one of the VHF antennas. I added a VHF and an EVA antenna. See attached photos.

Brick assembly is amazing and sturdy. The details looks great. Love the gold accents everywhere and the gold bricks too. Fun to build with the kid. Overall an amazing purchase.
