The box appeared to have been opened and then meticulously re-closed. However, one of the bags had been cut open, and a piece was missing. The BOL customer service showed little understanding. I had ordered the missing piece from LEGO and explained the situation. After 10 days, I received the missing piece. The fun of giving a gift had already disappeared. It was a BOL delivery, not from one of the cooperating partners.
I saw this LEGO Ghostbusters car for a great price at bol and definitely ordered it. Once I got home, I was a little surprised by the weight of the box, which was almost 5 kilos. And then there were all the bags with over 2300 pieces... I was a bit overwhelmed. As a 50+ year old, I haven't touched LEGO in 40 years, but building it was easy and without any real effort. Once it's assembled, it's quite large; almost a half meter! Everything works perfectly, like the shooting chair or the steering wheel. The only thing that bothered me a little were the rust stickers; they are all the same and look cheap. And the large, white stone in the middle of the hood; everything is high-gloss white except for this, which is a shame. For the money, it's a fun activity for adults or Ghostbusters/film fans. I've given it a nice place in a matching display case, and it stays dust-free.
Fantastic set. I also built the Mustang and Fiat 500, but this one stands out significantly. Very fun building techniques and mechanisms. And as other reviews have said, skip the rust stickers, they are repetitive and detract from this great set. The last negative point is the instruction book; I understand that a completely black book with black pages in the style is intended, but it sometimes makes it unnecessarily complicated and unclear.
It's really fun to build with lots of details and fun moving parts. However, be sure to apply the "rust" stickers right at the edge of the parts for a better effect.
The level of detail is truly unbelievable.
Fantastic and beautiful new set, fun to build. The previous sets were the Land Rover Defender, Ford Mustang, and the Austin Martin DB5, all of which were a joy to build. I'm already looking at what the next purchase will be.
