Amazing!
I love this kit! Not just because it's iconic to my childhood, it was a fun build and looks amazing. I'm a novice builder, but it was easy to put together and I love the features like the gullwing doors, opening 'bonnet' and the ability to transform it into all 3 movie versions (BTTF II wheel change is a cool touch!). If it wasn't so expensive, I'd buy 3 to have each movie version side by side. Aftermarket light kit sets it off as well. Cannot recommend this kit enough.

Great Scott! Where is Einstein?
The set is wonderful and I got excited at the details the designers put in to this. Overall it is a great build but I was a little disappointed to see that the date and times on the time capacitors are for when Doc demonstrates to Marty how time travel works by sending Einstein through the space time continuum, but there is no Einstein minifig :(

Great scott
This has to be the best build so far. Loved everything about the build and was fun from start to finish. Level of detail is incredible and love the light brick.

Back to the future
I bought this as a birthday gift for my son. He loves it, of course. He will definitely spend several weeks playing with it, because you can build 3 different versions.

Back in TIme!!!
This build had its challenging moments but overall was a great experience. The wife & I took our time and did about a bag a day so took about a week. With each bag I could see it coming together, getting more excited with each day.
Chose part 2 with the Mr. Fusion on the back. Love that you can switch between versions relatively easily.
I'm sure my dogs will be happy I'm not singing (badly) Huey Lewis anymore ; ) "Gotta get back in time"

Excellent product!
I bought this LEGO set for my friend and he has been very happy with it. The set was really fun to build together. It was sometimes a bit complex, but that's what makes it so enjoyable!

Loads of spares and missing parts
Completed the build and came to the option of car 1,2 or 3. Decided on the classic BTTF1 car. Completed the build and happy with the finished car. I thought I would build the parts for car 2 and 3. My issue was to build these parts means cannibalising one or both of the previous cars extras to build.. Its about 6 or 7 bricks that lego could have included in the set at no cost. The reason I say no cost is due to the fact I was left with over 40 spare bits.
Also missing 2 1x2 clear blocks to put under the car when in flying position.
Otherwise the car looks great in any design. Doors and wheels work well. Will add some lights and display

Lots Of Fun!
I've been building Lego sets since the early 80's and this is by far the most fun set I've ever built. From beginning to end, it was just a great experience. The details are amazing, and the clever ways bricks are used to build the set three dimensionality are very satisfying. Its a little pricy, but overall it's worth it!

Classic Throwback
This BTTF DeLorean is one of the best set Lego has created. The designers have recreated the subtle and iconic shape of the DeLorean to its utmost near perfection despite a few flaws. It is immensely a satisfying build experience. However in my case I took it up a notch higher by adding a few extra interior details that was was challenging due to restricted space but really rewarding.
What I added was the following:-
1. Behind the driver seat, a field containment system (Christmas tree) with the fire extinguisher
2. Behind the passenger seat the time circuit panel with Torin blower
3. Bottom floor - added some tiles and foot pedals
4. Centre console - added two extra printed pieces (slope and tile) and replaced the the gear stick with mic, better scale representation.
Lastly my other gripe was the use of mostly off-colored pieces that just looks awful underneath the car. Thanks to some Lego Youtubers, I was able to replace many off-colored parts with mostly grays and black and this gives a more polished clean look. The designers seemingly attempted a good job but dropped the ball in few areas. Overall, a brilliant construction model for display.

A must have
This is a must have for Back to the future fans and collectors alike. Very enjoyable building experience…. It’s great that you can choose which model you like to build (original film or sequel’s) and the model has nice features. The mechanism to retrieve wheels to fly mode is insane. The lighting of the capacitor added a wow factor. The Time Machine looks amazing in display. The mini figures look amazing, nice touch printing iconic sneakers to the side of the legs. I’m very happy with this purchase and totally recommend this set.

Advanced Engineering
This is one of those models where I whispered to myself several times through the build ‘how have they done this?’. The engineering, especially on the underside of the model, is absolutely genius. The detail is very intricate, and looks stunning. But with that can come some difficult moments where you need to concentrate and make sure that small pieces click into the places that they are meant to. You do need to be careful when you are picking the model up and turning over etc throughout the build. Wasn’t that much of an issue though. Total build time was about 8 hours and I was very please with the final product. It has a lot of weight to it. My only gripe, which seems to be a common one, is that the doors to do not stay open, however I can grasp that if mechanisms were included to keep the doors open then perhaps the same shape and look would not have been achieved as there is nowhere to really hide such a mechanism on that part of the build, therefore I can forgive.

In love with it
I’ve been trying to get this set for over a year when it came out, but it was always sold out online, and my nearest LEGO store also kept telling me it’s not in stock. However, eventually I got it, and I love it big time. I really don’t understand all the 1-2 star reviews. As a big Back to the future and LEGO fan, this piece is one of my absolute favorite in my humble collection. I hope for more of those iconic movie sets, because it just looks great next to my Ghostbuster Ecto 1 ;-)

Absolutely amazing
As a big fan of the back to the future franchise i just needed this set for my collection it was allround a pleasent build and alot of fun. It took me maybe 5-6 hours spread over two days to complete but every peice was just as fun to place then the last. I loved building the inside of the car and the little hover board is a great detail. Although… respectfully i will never be building it again and if it breaks i will happily leave it as is.

came missing several parts and stickers
Love the set but was missing several bricks as well as both sticker sheets so waiting on those to come in. Love it regardless. Can't wait to finish it properly. Love that you can chose what movie time machine you want to build.

LEGO does it again!
What an amazing building set this is... It has a huge amount of detail and beautifully executed large lines. The Flux is present, and the fact that you can build 3 different versions from 1 set is brilliant! It's really a real eye-catcher. It will get a nice place here at home.

The Delorean I had been waiting for!
Personally, I had been waiting for this scale of Delorean for a long time, I was never a huge fan of the small one, purely due to not being able to get the details in to it.
Where as this one, it looks fantastic. A really enjoyable build with some nice touches, including the folding wheels. I only have two minor issues that I'd say which are the rear wheels and tyres, should be slightly bigger and wider to match the original, but this may have meant the whole rear axle set would need redesigning to still incorporate the folding mechanism and the gull wing doors, they work well, but are too heavy to stay open on their own.
Otherwise the build itself was very enjoyable and the film/ car trivia along the way in the instruction book was a nice touch too. The minifigures also set the set off perfectly!
