Great for kids
How else can you make a child happy?
Nice toy set
When we showed the box to the children, they were already very enthusiastic! They are always very happy when they see excavators and construction cranes in the car or on TV! For the first few days, it was even difficult to get them to stop playing when we had to go to dinner. However, I have noticed that (as is typical with young children), they are already less "addicted" to the new LEGO Duplo after a couple of weeks and need some variety and a new challenge. Besides the reasonably good price, this is almost the only downside: there are not many loose blocks, which limits the possibilities for them to create something themselves. But if you already have some other LEGO Duplo blocks, like us, they can use them to build their own house, tower, castle, garage with the crane and the bulldozer, and then take it apart and rebuild it! I have noticed that especially our 2-year-old son is very fond of the bulldozer!
Very fun!
My 4-year-old son has always loved playing with construction vehicles, but he wasn't always a fan of Duplo. However, this set immediately caught his attention. I was also quite excited, so we opened it together quickly. He immediately started building, but some parts were still too difficult for him to do on his own, so I naturally helped him. Now he has everything added to his "construction site" and plays with it every day. The construction workers are also quite detailed. The cabs can open and close, and everything is very movable. Definitely recommended if you are interested in construction sets!
Great set for young builders!
When I first played with this set, my family was visiting, and four children (ages 2, 3, 4, and 6) unpacked the box, which really highlighted the differences in playing with this set. The oldest took the lead, and she was able to put the loose building blocks together using the illustrations. The two younger children also made some progress with her help. The youngest child can also put blocks together and was busy with the dump truck, loading and unloading everything. After building, everything could be demolished with the wrecking ball, which they found to be the most fun part. This wrecking ball and tower are included in every Duplo building session, so they can first build and then demolish with the ball. The box contains a variety of vehicles with doors, a tower, three figures, and of course, the wrecking ball. I like the variety of the figures. Some of the pieces seem a bit superfluous (a bird, a stop/go sign). For a building theme, I don't find many building blocks in it, which is often the case with Duplo themed sets. To build a house (which can then be demolished), you need an additional set of Duplo bricks. Adding extra bricks to this set gives (especially older toddlers and preschoolers) more possibilities, allowing children to create a story and enjoy building for longer.
