Very Fun Way to Spend $50
My original trepidations were that the set only included 2 science experiments. However, these two experiments were quite fun to play out with my kids. Though incredibly simple, I think that idea highlights the mission of these sets. I was incredibly relieved that there were no instructions for the inventive and solve steps. Additionally, there were no suggestion or ideas pages. Just build to your imagination. My youngest who is very “by the instructions” kind of builder had TONS of fun building “outside the box” in the final two steps of each instruction booklet and it was fun to watch her actively want to build from her own imagination as opposed to the instruction booklets. Highly recommend for a fun night with the kids or even on your own as an adult. The animal builds are cute and simple but work very well for how they are designed to incorporate themselves into the overall idea of the set. $50 may seem alot for two simple science experiments but the inspiration and pieces that come from it made for a several hour play experience. Given $60 is the average cost to eat out in my neck of the woods for my family, spending that instead on a fun night of LEGO was WELL worth the money.
