This should not be used as mass storage of lego because of a very surprising choices to have the bottom holes have a small gap that traps all your small pieces. I bought these for a move and show piece and have a ton of pieces stuck in this storage.
I think this would great to store Lego's in. I purchased this one as opposed to other storage options due to it's size. But it is not accurate to the Measurements listed. The actual storage area is not 9.5 inches deep but instead 4 inches which is a big difference in my opinion.
For those of you who, like me, remember the old Lego suitcase storage container and wonder if this new one is in any way comparable, I can honestly say I was very pleased with the plastic quality and design. It is cute, the lid comes off very well and it has a lot of space. As has been noted in other reviews on this product, there are three round recesses in bottom of the container, just large enough to trap and hold the smallest Lego pieces. The stacking design to the bottom also takes up a bit of space, so the whole of its height is not available for storage.
