A fun realistic build
The LEGO Technic HeavyDuty Recovery Tow Truck with Crane was amazing to build and it’s seriously impressive. The build is detailed and challenging, with over 2,000 pieces that make the whole experience really satisfying. The working crane, winch, and extendable outriggers add a lot of realism, and the moving engine pistons are a cool touch that makes it feel like a real machine.
The finished model is big, sturdy, and perfect for display. If you enjoy engineering-style LEGO builds or realistic vehicles, this set is definitely worth it. Great mix of fun, creativity, and mechanical design. Highly recommend for any LEGO fan.

Brilliant Lego set
I just finished building the LEGO Heavy Duty Recovery Tow Truck with Crane, and I’m seriously impressed. The wheels roll smoothly and are rugged enough to handle carpet or tile without slipping. This set has real weight to it, it feels durable and substantial, not flimsy like some others. The moving parts are brilliant and the crane rotates and extends with satisfying precision, the hook lifts and lowers easily, and the tow arm actually functions. I appreciate the safety thinking in the design there is no sharp edges, well-balanced so it doesn’t tip when you’re playing with the crane extended. For value, it delivers; lots of clever engineering packed into a mid-size build, and it looks great on display or in play. If you love mechanical detail and sturdy performance, this tow truck is worth it.

My son loved building this
This is a larger boxed Lego from the Lego City range. Suitable for ages 8+ but would definitely appeal to all ages. Good build not too challenging but takes a nice amount of time to build. Love the recyclable packaging the bricks come in nowadays. The set builds into a working tow truck and additional tipper truck which can be attached and towed. Comes with two mini figures, and some traffic cones and signs. All in all a very nice build which has lots of playability afterwards. Great set for any mini builder.

Phenomenal set, iffy price.
I got this set for Christmas 2025 and it is phenomenal. Well designed, good playability, and spiffy appearances of both trucks. This is the first heavy-duty tow truck since 60056 Tow Truck back in 2014. The set, however, isn't worth $90. Breaking it down, the dump truck is an automatic $20 set alone, while the tow truck can be valued around $40-45. Therefore, the set should've been priced at $70 max, but overall it's a fun set. This current era of LEGO City rocks!

Hours of fun to build and play
My kid is obsessed with Lego and it always give hours of fun of building and collecting his favourite pieces. Good thing is instructions are clear and easy to follow so my kid could build it himself with a little help. Material quality is great and finished tow truck with crane actually works really well, my son is using this crane to do a lot more stuff with his other cars as well so I am expecting it will come in handy a lot more with other play times. It doesn’t weigh too much just a normal amount for kids to carry and play.

A massive hit for anyone who loves lego!
I actually gave this to my 8 year old for Christmas as a gift because he absolutely loves lego and anything he can put his mind to! He disappeared Christmas morning straight away to put this together and was finished Boxing Day. He worked completely on his own (we did offer to help but he didn't want us) and completed it perfectly - he was so proud of himself! Right now it's still in his room and he's used the towing strings to tow other lego cars he's made.

Fun and engaging
This Lego set was so much fun to build together as a family. My son is absolutely obsessed with trucks, so this was a huge hit from the moment we opened the box. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, which made the building process smooth and enjoyable. There are quite a lot of small pieces, so a bit of care is needed, especially when building with little ones. Me, my husband, and our son all built it together, and it turned into such a lovely bonding activity. It was great to spend quality time together, laugh, and see how excited our son was as the set slowly came together.

Definitely recommend
We absolutely loved building this Lego set, my boys needed help with this so we helped them, the instructions in the manual were pretty straightforward to follow and understand. I absolutely love the detail and design, this is very sturdy and strong. This Lego set is great quality and worth the money. I didn’t find this Lego set noisy, but it does depend on how your child plays, I would definitely recommend this.

Great fun
I received this to test and review as a member of Influenster.
This product is amazing the attention to detail is fabulous very quality craftsmanship. It’s very real accurate in design to real life recovery tow trucks with cranes. The assembly took a good few hours to complete but that was expected with how intricate the detailed design is. Very lightweight once assembled and great size to have on display

Functional crane mechanism
I really love the realistic heavy-duty tow truck design, and the authentic details make it look impressive once completed. It did take a few days to put together, but the build process was enjoyable and absolutely worth it. You can’t go wrong with LEGO. The quality is excellent, and it’s suitable for kids, teens, and adults. My 5-year-old stayed entertained for several hours, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Once assembled, the truck feels solid and durable, making it great for both play and display. The working crane and movable parts add a lot of interactive fun.

Another great set from Lego
The primary vehicle in the set is a tow truck that features a movable tow arm with a hook and chain, used by the crook to tow away a safe. To counter this, the set provides two police bikes: an off-road bike and a pursuit bike. The pursuit bike is equipped with a police radio and a lollypop stop sign. The safe itself is designed with a large opening door and a smaller compartment inside, providing space for included accessory elements such as money bills and a jewel. The set also comes with three minifigures: two police officers and a crook. Accessory elements further enhance play and include three money bills, a walkie-talkie, a wrench, a crowbar, a welder’s torch, handcuffs, a lollypop stop sign, and a jewel. The tow truck measures over 2” (6cm) high, 4” (12cm) long, and 1” (5cm) wide. Both police bikes are over 1” (3cm) high, 2” (7cm) long, and 1” (3cm) wide, while the safe is over 2” (6cm) high, 1” (4cm) wide, and 1” (3cm) deep. This particular set, with its 793 pieces, is recommended for children between the ages of 8 years plus. Another LEGO City set, "LEGO City Tow Truck and Sports Car Repair Toy 60435," also features a tow truck, though its specific components and scenario differ, focusing on vehicle repair.

Highly organized LEGO set keep kids busy for hours
This Lego set is amazing. This set is for 8 year olds and up. Inside the box is a booklet and with corresponding numbers that match the bags of legos. How perfectly organized! Great illustrations of projects to put together. Perfect for the child and adult! Also listed is the Lego website for more details or resources. Although highly recommended not to have this set around small children that would place the Lego inside their mouth. They are a choking hazard.

Entertaining
These legos are very entertaining and instructions are easy to follow. My son and I had a blast building the crane and are in the process of building the dump truck. Patience is key, since there are so many small pieces that can be lost in the process. Overall, it has been a pleasant bonding experience for our family, and has allowed us to spend more time together having fun. Definitely recommend if you enjoy puzzles.

Loved putting this together!
What a fun lego set up! The Heavy Duty Recovery Tow Truck with Crane was so much fun to put together with my son. There are a lot of pieces, but the instructions are clear for the most part. I think my only suggestion would be to put the color in text of the legos, as some of the images in the directions get confusing based on color. Overall a fun and toy for my son!

Good Entertainment
Built this set today and it’s awesome. Kept me entertained for several hours. Was very easy to assemble with clear directions. The crane actually works, the dump truck is legit, and the little boulders are a fun touch. The rotating tow truck is super detailed and way sturdier than I expected. Definitely more engaging than most sets because you can actually play out rescues when it’s done. Worth every brick.
