LEGO Mario Kart™ – Bowser's Castle 72039

What a fun LEGO set! My nephew (age 10) did the bulk of the assembly, with a little help from me because I think it’s fun too! The set kept him occupied on and off over several days of family gatherings for a long weekend. He loves Legos and was so excited by this set. It was challenging but not too hard for him and the theming fits with things he already loves. Definitely a huge hit! The set comes with two characters and two vehicles. The vehicles have working shell shooters, which fit the Mario kart theme so well. We had lots of fun playing with the characters included and shooting the shells at the castle. It also has a spinning fire obstacle, which is such a classic Super Mario element. We don’t have the base set with the characters that would be interactive, so I couldn’t test that out. However, my nephew is anxious to get it for his birthday and to build on this collection after playing with this one. The details and quality fit with my expectations for the LEGO brand. I would highly recommend this fun set for any Mario fan!
