Fun build
I really enjoyed the Gotham City build. Good variety of detail work (building fronts, many of them) and structural lego.
Many clever techniques (the stairs, pillars) in the mix.
Only downsides,
- way too many stickers - can't remember exactly how many, but something like 60.
- And the sections that can be opened - not on hinges or anything, so not so easy.

BTAS Review
One of the best sets Lego has produced, if you're a fan of the Batman the Animated Series (BTAS) this set is for you. The price is hefty, but the amount of pieces and design make up for it. I love the amazing easter eggs and hidden details around Gotham that relate to lots of the episodes in this series. The minifigures are very good, although I wished we got more, also since it's a display set, there isn't much playability with the set. Overall Lego did a fantastic job with this display set, 9/10 for me.

BatLight me up
This is my favorite build thus far. Two small things that would make it even better are:
1- If Light blocks would be awesome if they came with this already expensive set, specially that it pictures spot lights shining up the sky. 3rd party kits are too expensive and let's admit it, nothing beats Lego!
2- If the plate-frame of this build would be reinforced by doubling its thickness, for exemple with a minimized modular system: If standing on a table or desk using the build-in feet, the plate-frame sides of this build start to curl inwords towards the center due to the weight and surface tightening of the Lego pieces.

PERFECT for any fan of the show!
Absolutely gorgeous, a massive build that's kept me busy! I've been assembling it for the last 3 days (after work) and I'm not quite halfway done, but I'm loving every step of the way. The instructions are clear and easy to follow (though I wish the darker bricks had white outlines and one of the orange-brown shades looks red on the manuals). It's been a joy to build and has done more to get me hooked on Lego than anything. It's FULL of tiny fun references, and has been an absolute joy to put together.
It's still only half-finished, I've only had it for 4 days and am assembling it after work hours, but I'm super excited to get it finished, and plan on adding lights after the fact to make it even better! 10/10 for any Bat-fan.

Worth it for any BTAS fan!
I wanted this set for a long time but could not justify the price. When it came down in price a bit in early 2025, after a restock, I took the leep and made my purchase.
I had never bought from the Lego site and was worried about it considering the price but the experience was easy peasy and shipping was fast with no problems or damage.
The kit itself is beautiful when completed and I absolutely love the theme and all the references. The mini figures could be a little more accurate to the series but I really didn't buy it for the figures so that's fine.
Once finished it does have a bit of flex to it so I wouldn't go and mount it directly to a wall. I found putting in on a shelf for a week gave it time to settle a bit then I mounted it flat to the wall at the exact level of the shelf so it's technically still sitting on my shelf but it's anchored flat to the wall and it is holding up well. If I was going to hang it fully with no extra support I would probably grab some extra plates and try to add a little extra support along the back to be safe as I would not be happy to find this on the floor if it did fall.
Overall it's an awesome set if you are a true BTAS fan although keep in mind you are paying for the Lego quality PLUS the licensing for the series so yes it's expensive but I came to terms with it as I am a big fan of the series and Batman.
I would love to see the license expanded within the series and see Lego putting out a bunch of BTAS sets would make me a very happy camper!
PS.
If you own this set, do yourself a favor and get a light kit or make one. Makes it that much better to display!

I am BATMAN!!!
My wife and I enjoyed building Gotham, More her than Myself. It looks good with a few more DC builds we have. We did add the characters and ledge to the frame.

Another large set purchase horribly shipped
While I enjoy the build and have only great things to say about the build, this is the 2nd time and most likely last time I will spend hundreds buying from Lego.com. The large set is shipped in a box which is exactly the size of the set therefore another premium set shows up at my house with a very crushed box. I do prefer keeping the box for re-storage. I prefer to keep some sets sealed as it's a duplicate at times. I still have a few more premium sets to purchase but I believe I learned my lesson..Do not expect your set to arrive in mint condition. Smaller sets are usually in excellent condition because they are shipped in slightly oversized boxes.

Super amazing set!!
This was such an amazing set to build!! I have built over 300 Lego sets that are displayed throughout my home. I must address some of this negative reviews I constantly see. Let's start with this magnificent BATMAN Animated series. I found it fun to build, never did the set "bend" or "was it ever not sturdy" So, the customers who wrote about the set being those things, you must have not follow the directions. Just coming from my point of view how "really" sturdy this set was for me, I am completely happy with this amazing set. Thank you LEGO for being such a great company with super customer service too!!

A stunning masterpiece
This Batman picture is an absolute delight to build, look at and discover! I brought this set as it was flat to build after i had surgery, from receiving the box it was hard to wait and not build it straight away, the box art doesn't do it justice to how it looks built.
The way you build tile by tile and build a skyline then a city, and then build onto that city to give some pretty incredible detail is wonderful.
They use a range of building techniques throughout the build which changes things up and makes it fresh and not boring, there are so many hidden tiles that show Batman's villains and building this up and putting it together, then being able to remove buildings to show another level of detail is a fantastic idea.
I half built this laying down and half stood up for something to do while i was getting back on my feet, and i thoroughly enjoyed every part of this build, to have a somewhat colourful batman set is also a massive bonus!
The mini-figure lineup is amazing, the batman has a 2 tone helmet so the white eyes are inset (nomore white lines on foreheads) and the joker and harley are absolutely incredible, personally i would've loved a riddler mini-figure rather than catwoman, but he is my fav so personal preference!
Overall i would recommend this very highly to anyone who wants a fun detailed building experience, and something to display after

Very poor wall hanging design!
First and foremost if you are purchasing to hang on the wall, the whole thing is warped and will never sit flat against wall!!!! The design is extremely poor for hanging on the wall. The mounting hooks are mounted in the middle of the piece. Since this is the most expensive wall art piece it should sit flat against wall like EVERY other wall mountable piece. The top of the build uses cheap red squares that are warped out of the box. Also there is not enough rigidity to keep it straight. Honestly if I could return it I would. Purchase at your own risk!

Work of art
First Lego set I've bought and built since I was a kid. Love being able to hang it up to display it to save space for my other collections. Always wanted something Batman-related in my collection and this Lego set is completely worth it with the amount of details. Looks even better with the LED strips I've added behind to make the Batman logo pop behind my white wall.

A love letter to BTAS
This set is absolutely gorgeous and I love the level of detail for this set. The price at first seems very high but with more pieces than assembly square it makes since for the high price point. The set features 4 great figures on a stone ledge platform: Catwoman, Batman, Harley Quinn and the joker. The figures all look great and like how they should. The build is in sections and it’s really cool to slowly build it inward until you finish both segments and then connect them together. While I will now admit I have yet to finish the series, the level of detail I recognized is incredible: you got Wayne manor, the batcave, Gotham city court, The police station, wayne enterprises, joker’s amusement park the Ace chemical plant and Arkham asylum. The main buildings are accounted for and you get mini versions of the Batmobile, the batwing, the blimps and the villains, which this set provides most of them: joker, catwoman, poison ivy, penguin, bane, Harley Quinn, Baby Doll, just to name a few. While this set is not really made to be a functional set and more a display peice, you can open some of the buildings and reveal details for the set which is very cool. This set is very well done, provided me a good challenge this weekend and I love the end product. I am waiting for the Batmobile from this series and I wish Lego the best with this set. Overall very great and I reccomend if you want a nice tribute to the Animated series

Fun, looks great…but flawed
So once built it looks great, and hangs on wall with all my other Lego Batman builds. I made a change to where the minifigs I set in place on the top right into the frame outline(in pics).
Dislikes- Price!! Especially after it was completed there are 163 EXTRA pieces, Why!?! Also plenty of pieces that coulda been merged into others and made things more streamlined and easier installs, which woulda made this a better seller to Lego fans. Easily the most amount and I have the giant Batwing/Tumbler/giant SW Republic Gunship UCS too.
The hidden stickers are pointless imo since no one is really gonna take it apart once done.
You do have several sections where u gotta use your brain to make sure the pieces fit, even if u have to go back to proceed further.

Downtown delight
Firstly , I’ve never seen an episode of Batman the animated series . But the look of this set caught my attention.
It’s a nice easy build with I presume lots of references to the series in the form of grey tiles with major characters on that are hidden nicely through the build
This set is beautiful to look at once completed . There are quite a few hidden gems to be found by removing some of the building facades .
I would recommend this set mainly for the overall look and size when complete . It’s both free standing or wall mountable . Def one to add to my larger collections for display

The best set for the best series by far!
I've always loved Batman: The Animated Series, and todescribe it as anything other than a masterpiece would be criminal. For years, I've wondered why such a masterpiece hadn't received a lego set, but now it's safe to say that my prayers have been answered. As soon as I saw this set, I knew I simply had to get it. And now, after taking the time to build it (all whilst watching the show of course), I can confidently say that this is an amazing set, one that I am proud to own. The attention to detail is simply outstanding, and I love especially how the instruction books include with each bag the name of an episode from the show to let you know what the part you're building references/is inspired by. Lego has easily outdone themselves with this set, and I'd happily recommend this to any fan of the show, or any fan of Batman in general

Nostalgic at its Finest
Absolutely love this set!! Brings back so many memories from my childhood and enjoyed building it.
Would like to know the proper way to mount it in the wall though.
Either way a great display piece!

Very good for nostalgia
I love it, the only thing is the wall mounting system is 17 in across for my American friends, so you will have to figure something out.

Batman Lego set
This set was honestly incredible, over the years I’ve pushed a little more toward sets that act as Lego but also Art. Being able to put something on my wall that looks aetecially pleasing brings me great joy. More sets like this please!

Work of Art
This was probably my favorite build out of nearly any set I own. Each bag tells a story and creates a unique details to a set that will ultimately be displayed like a true piece of art. All of the removable panels with little cartoon surprises behind them mean you can come back to the set often and reconfigure it if you want. I love all the colors and textures they used!

Beautiful display piece worthy of BTAS!
I’ve always wanted Batman the animated series sets, and what a way to start! The art deco style, or in this case ‘dark deco’, is absolutely stunning and satisfying to look at. There’s also so many Easter eggs and references to the show and interesting build techniques to keep you engaged the entire building process. My only gripes with the set are a lot of the smaller tiles and plates have noticeable mold injection marks which I always try to hide from view, which can get annoying. Also the Harley figures face print is not the brightest white. I highly recommend this still to anyone, if it’s your thing!
