Grandma Vibes
I’m not a grandma yet, but when I saw this set I knew I needed it in case I ever get to be one. Having this made me excited for the day a little child will come into my home for a visit, run into my awaiting arms, and beg to turn that little knob for a fun surprise. One request from Lego, with much begging and pleasing, please oh please can I buy more pieces to make extra capsules? About the build: the inner working mechanics were the challenge. I feared if i missed one step or piece I’d have to start all over again, so i took my time and studied the steps. Before I moved past those critical steps and onto the simple outer parts I tested the machine. You should have seen my utter delight at it working properly! I clapped and giggled. My husband thought me adorable.

A beautiful experience
The set is a bit on the expensive side but I really enjoyed this building experience seeing how the mechanism comes together and how it only works with the coin in it . Its a really nice looking set , the collection of minifigures is nice and varied and as a classic space collector seeing the 2 new classic Astronaughts is fantastic.
A big thumbs up from me

Kraken/Griffin PAB Everyone is waiting…
Lackluster set. Clearly if this set is not selling well, it’s because the figs are not that great. The 4 desirable ones are the whole reason this set exists. We all know why Lego is holding out on releasing them to PAB. Not sure what Lego expected as far as sales. Now had they released kraken and griffin castles; they’d have $279 each faction, way more sold, and not have to sit on releasing figs while hoping the sets sold. Lego knows there are 48 years worth of castle fans that wait for the crumbs Lego gives them. However these 4 crumbs for $180 is why castle fans purposely are not buying them. I only have one because it was a Christmas gift from my fiancé because I already own everything else castle, though I would’ve never purchased this on my own.

A fun engineering build
The build itself was fun and fascinating seeing how each part of the mechanism as it was built was going to work. The finished product is awesome! I loved that the first piece built was a little vending machine and the designer in Lego form 🩵

Very beautiful
Very nice, good quality. But built by a 11-year-old in a few hours. I have no idea why there is a 18+ warning on the box.

An old-fashioned vending machine that really works and comes with a lot of minifigs. Great.

Very fun to build.
LEGO is always fun. But this machine also really works. Also, the minifigures are really cool.

Its a great set just not for money
In all fairness this set is absolutely overpriced but if you're willing to pay the heft 150 pounds then buy it!
My favourite 3 parts:
1.The smart usage of technic
2.Of course the minifigures
3.The cleanness of the build
My least favourite 3 parts:
1.As mentioned price for piece count
2.How it only looks half full
3.The fact that some of the minifigs are plain
The way I got this set was by using the 2400 points to get 15 pounds off making it 135. all fairness this may seem like a trap but to me it feels like your just paying extra for the nostalgia and new moulds

Genius Ideas Set
This set is very appealing! It’s visually pleasant as well as fully functional! I really enjoyed this build and the uniqueness of the design. The fact that it’s fully functioning is the icing on the cake! This will be a great display piece for my classroom. My students will love it!

Cute but not worth the money
I wish the size of the set could be a little bigger for its value. I was a little disappointed to see the size in person at a local lego store but still look very cute. Also, half of the little figurines that come with this set in the gashapon are repeated ones. Why can’t they all be different? For almost $300 for this set, at least Lego should put in some interesting figurines or miniatures builds inside instead :((

10/10 Concept 8/10 execution
From the second I saw this one I knew I had to pick it up. I’m a bit young to really have the idea hold much nostalgia for me, but as a fan of Lego and a fan of the sets that have more technical function to them this set definitely peaked my interest. The finished product is super clean and this genuinely feels like one of the sets that Lego actually made sure was perfect before releasing it. There was ONE point in the build process that I was weary of if it was going to be a mechanical issue or not, but it ended up being the part of the mechanism that requires a ‘coin’ in order to turn and push out one of the little mini figures. Two cons for me personally with this set but they aren’t deal breakers. 1. I do wish that you were able to have the minifigures fully assembled in the little ball capsules as opposed to having to have them all in pieces 2. The minifigures it comes with don’t really do anything for me, however, I understand Lego was between a rock and a hard place as they wanted something to fill the little balls with but ultimately if an adult purchased this set the minifigs are just going to stay in the little balls inside the machine on display (so are the actual minifigures really that important or the focus of this set? Not really)

Great build
This was a very enjoyable build. Sometimes I like a build so much that I want to take it apart & build it again. This is one of those. Looks great & cool how it works. Love it!

Minifig Vending Machine
Bought this for myself, collect Lego, Love building. Easy to follow instructions, great selection of mini figs, The mechanical design to retrieve the balls containing minifigs is a work of genius, Love getting ideas from the masters for my own builds.

A Fully Functional Gumball Machine
I mainly bought this for the figures. Turns out, it was very fun to build. The machine is actually fully functional. The design is spot on...you would think it's an actual gumball machine...not made from Legos. I don't regret buying this and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes gumball machines or collects minifigures.

Best one yet
Loved making this. Plus it’s the first time I’ve built anything with working components that has worked from the first build! Hurrah!
