Fun build. Wish they had kept the emerald
I really enjoyed this build. The amethyst, watermelon tourmaline and rhodochrosite are very beautiful.
In the booklet write up about the creator it mentioned a "emerald" which made me curious as it isn't included in the build.
It appears that the blue tourmaline was replaced with the watermelon tourmaline. I was ok with this change.
It also appears that the fluorite was used to replace the emerald. To me this was a big disappointment

Challenging and super decorative set!
I received this product in exchange for my honest review on influenster, and it was so much fun!
This set is different from anything else, and offers enough challenge for adults to spend several hours on.
Building the minerals/gems themselves is definitely a challenge!
The set includes 3 different booklets where you build a section with display cases each time. You can decorate them as you like. The set also provides information about the designer and the minerals, which makes the set even more interesting. You can also use the intuitive builder app, which gives you a different perspective and direction for building.
The building instructions are easy to follow, but definitely not for the very young, so age 18 plus is definitely appropriate for the difficulty level!
Overall, this is a LEGO set for anyone who wants to build something different and create something decorative, and this set will go alongside my own mineral collection!

Fab lego set for the home
As a 40-year-old LEGO enthusiast, the excitement was very real when I got the chance to build the Mineral Collection — and it absolutely did not disappoint.
This set is just brilliant. The builds are detailed, satisfying and full of those lovely fiddly bits that make LEGO so relaxing to put together. The instructions are easy to follow, but the build itself still feels engaging and rewarding — exactly how I like it.
The geode has to be my favourite piece. It looks amazing once finished and has such a striking, display-worthy design. Building this set gave me some much-needed time out from the kids, and now it’s sitting proudly on my sideboard looking far better than any ornament I could’ve bought.
In fact, I’d take this over real crystals any day — no dust (yet), no fragility, and a lot more fun to create. Now I just have to hope the kids admire it from a distance and don’t try to “help”.
Overall, this is a fantastic set for adult LEGO fans who love mindful building and stylish display pieces. A real joy from start to finish.

Very nice set
I was very happy to be able to build this beautiful set. I found the set to be very challenging to build. The set contains 880 pieces divided into 7 bags, with 3 instruction booklets included. All the steps were clearly illustrated, which is always very helpful with LEGO, and I spent a few hours on it. And in the end, it has become a very beautiful set.

Perfect for Lego lovers
Building the LEGO® Mineral Collection was such a joy! This 880-piece set lets you recreate
six vibrant minerals — golden pyrite, purple amethyst, blue fluorite, watermelon tourmaline,
reddish-pink rhodochrosite, and tangerine quartz — using clever techniques and transparent
bricks that capture their colors beautifully.
The set includes three buildable display shelves that you can arrange and customize,
making it a stunning piece of living room decor. My son also got involved, and it was a fun,
shared creative experience.
A perfect gift for rock collectors, nature lovers, and LEGO fans, combining art, creativity, and
displayable models all in one.

Fantastic Mineral Lego
This is an amazing piece of lego but quite difficult for some of it to be put together. It does say it's for 18+ but my 11 year old daughter helped me as a lot of it is quite simple to piece together. It does take quite a while to put together, there are 7 bags of lego and within some of the bags there are additional smaller bags, each one takes about an hour to put together. You 1st construct the base for each mineral to sit on but once everything is constructed it genuinely looks amazing. There are instructions for each bag which you follow and it helps piece by piece to put this together, in total there are around 900 pieces but it's a brilliant way to construct and test you mental agility. We love lego and how it looks when completed and this is an amazing piece and looks fantastic.

Lovely little build
I loved this set as it was something a little different, i love all the architectural, floral legos etc so I was excited for this one. I spent the time building this one with my daughter as she loves Lego too. The quality is always top tier with official Lego and this didn’t disappoint even being a small set with some thinner part. Its design to look like the real minerals is great and all the different ways the colours and pieces come together to make them is brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed this build. I love the extra bits in this set to display them which made it that little bit more creative as opposed to just building the minerals themselves.

Very fun and beautiful Lego set!
The Lego Mineral Collection Set was a very fun and challenging set to put together. It is great that Lego makes sets that are more geared towards young adults and adults alike. Once put together it was very classy and looked very nice to put on display. It didn’t look like a classic Lego set. I will definitely look at more of these sets in the future!

A lovely piece of home decor
Who says LEGO 18+ sets are just for the grown-ups? 💎✨
We recently received the LEGO Mineral Collection set for free from @influenster to test in exchange for my honest review.
While it’s technically an 18+ set, my boys had the best time building it together, the perfect indoor activity for a snowy day! ❄️
The instructions were easy to follow. Every mineral was bagged separately, and you can mix each mineral in a different stand as you wish.

The finished set looks stunning on my shelf, it’s a lovely piece of home decor.

What a fun set!
What a fun and original LEGO set!
The minerals are beautifully designed and the colors really stand out.
Building it was relaxing and not too difficult. The instructions were easy to follow, my 10-year-old daughter built it with me without any trouble.
Perfect if you want something different than the standard LEGO sets. I would definitely recommend this as a gift or for yourself.
It now looks great on my cabinet as a decorative addition.
Definitely a top recommendation. 🥰👍✨

More of a keepsake than a toy
I received the LEGO Mineral Collection complimentary from @influenster and gave it to my son, who has always loved precious stones, geodes, rocks and LEGO—so it felt like the perfect match for him. He was instantly excited and really enjoyed building it, taking his time with the details and colours. It was lovely to see how engaged he was, especially because it combines two things he’s genuinely interested in.
Once finished, he was so proud of it and wanted to display it straight away. It feels more like a keepsake than a toy. Such a thoughtful, creative set and a real win in our house.

recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, visuall
I received the LEGO Mineral Collection and honestly surprised me in the best way. From the start, it feels more like building a piece of art than a toy.
The crystal builds are the highlight. LEGO did an amazing job using transparent and layered pieces to make each mineral look realistic and unique. My favorites were the amethyst and fluorite the colors really pop once everything is assembled. The build process itself was relaxing and enjoyable, not frustrating, which made it perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The display shelves are simple but practical. While they aren’t as exciting as the crystals themselves, they do a good job of framing the minerals and making the whole set feel like something you’d see in a museum or on a décor shelf. Once finished, it looks great on a desk or bookshelf and always gets comments from visitors.
This isn’t a playset, and it’s definitely geared more toward adults or collectors. If you enjoy mindful builds, unique display pieces, or anything related to geology or design, this set is absolutely worth it. For the quality, creativity, and finished look make it feel like a solid value.

Beautiful Display
If you enjoy LEGO as art and display, love unique builds, and or are into minerals, this set is highly recommended and it’s visually stunning. My 10 year old and I have been building this together and we have thoroughly enjoyed it, some of the minerals weren’t as straightforward to build but not hard either. You just need to follow the instruction well enough. It’s a beautiful LEGO set and the pieces are well made. Definitely made to last long.

Beautiful display piece
This is a great set! My 8 year old loves Lego and also collects gemstones so it was perfect for him to build. It’s a beautiful display piece. The biggest complaint was that one of the instruction booklets was misprinted and was missing some pages while other pages were out of order. But we just used the instructions online and everything came together.

Looks really nice once completed
I was looking forward to building this set until my son found it and wanted to try it himself . The colours are so vibrant and looks really nice . The set looks really attractive and has lots of vibrant colours and patterns meaning it stands out well . I was actually surprised at how big it looks once built too it really stands quite dominantly for an artistic touch. The instructions too are very easy to follow and even my son has managed to build it by himself .

Fun tandem build or lap tray build
This set was a gift from my husband. I’m a geologist, and the only thing I love more than him and our cats are Legos and rocks. So this was perfect for me.
I specifically wanted to mention that this is a great set 2 or 3 people to build together. You can divvy up the minerals and booklets so that each person has their own build.
This would also be a great set for someone who is sick or hospitalized. Each mineral stand and each individual mineral has its own bag. So you can do this build one mineral at a time on a lap tray or over-bed table while confined to a bed or recliner. Some sets need a larger assembly space, so I like to point out when I find one that can be used by people with limited workspace.
My one caveat is that this set is a bit fragile. Once you’re done, make sure you put it somewhere where a young child or cat can’t fiddle with it.

A surprisingly beautiful and relaxing build — perf
I picked up the LEGO Ideas: Mineral Collection not really knowing what to expect — I’m not a geologist, but I do love LEGO sets that double as décor. This one turned out to be one of the most satisfying display builds I’ve done in a while.
The set includes six different mineral specimens, each with its own unique style: pyrite, amethyst, fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, rhodochrosite, and tangerine quartz.
The individual minerals were genuinely fun to build. LEGO used a really creative mix of transparent and metallic bricks to mimic natural crystal structures, and the shaping tricks are clever without ever feeling fiddly. I actually found myself slowing down just to appreciate how some of the facets came together.
The only part of the build that felt a little repetitive was the modular shelving units. They look good once finished, but they’re definitely more “functional” than exciting to assemble.
Once everything is built, the display is beautiful. The colours pop, the crystals catch the light in different ways, and each piece has its own character. I’ve already had people ask if they’re real minerals at a glance. It strikes a great balance between realistic and artistic — not scientifically perfect, but absolutely eye-catching.
Having three modular display stands is a smart touch. You can line them up together, separate them, or scatter the minerals across a shelf. They feel high-quality and surprisingly versatile.
The only downsides which are minor are that this is purely a display set — there’s nothing here for play value. Also some mineral purists might wish the colours or shapes were more geologically accurate.
However If you love LEGO sets that feel like miniature art pieces, this is a fantastic pick. It’s calming to build, gorgeous when finished, and looks far more sophisticated than the box suggests. Definitely recommended for display collectors, adult builders, mineral enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a unique conversation piece.
Overall: A stylish, thoughtfully designed set that brings a bit of sparkle to any shelf.
