I LOVE
I absolutely love this set. It was such an easy, relaxing build. Some might think that putting on the flat pieces might get a little overwhelming, but it wasn’t too bad. My favorite part was honestly the back. I’m new to larger sets but build small ones all the time so idk how the other art pieces are. I love the amount of attention the back got. I love how all the pieces connected the little rods to help from breaking. i love how the set also had two little pieces where the nails will sit, i can’t get over that. I know i should should focus on the front, but the back is just so amazing. This whole lego build was so great!!!

Conversation piece
Had a fun time putting it together. Works like a charm as an art piece as well. Great conversation starter.

Stunning piece of LEGO art
Im an AFOL, I love the build and then the displaying of my LEGO sets. I'm a slow builder, using it as a form of mindfulness when the world around me seems a little crazy, this build took me just short of 3 months, I literally do a few pages a day or every other day or week. Its a simple build but very therapeutic, it was so nice to see how each layer came together to make the Great Wave, great use of some unexpected pieces (the bird pieces) to create the 3d effect. Its amazing to look at, its hung on my wall with a box frame that I made to prevent dust build up. A truly remarkable piece, if you love Japanese art then this is the piece for you.

Beautiful set with an immersive experience
This set was genuinely amazing to build. The way LEGO has recreated The Great Wave is super clever; it’s not just a build, it feels like you’re putting together a piece of art. It’s fun, detailed, and really satisfying to see it come together. What stood out even more was the audio track. I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be really insightful. It gave a lot of context about the artwork and added a whole new layer to the experience. Made the build feel more meaningful; must listen!! :DHighly recommend this one, especially if you're into art or want something a bit different from the usual LEGO sets. No missing pieces either.

Nice replica
This LEGO art has been hanging on the wall for over a year and I'm still enthusiastic! I found it one of the most fun LEGO sets to build. The set uses many different bricks, some of which you wouldn't expect to be included (e.g., birds). It has an incredible amount of detail, so every time you look at it, you notice something new.

Beautiful artwork
I saw this on sale and decided to treat myself. It was such a delight to see the 3D scene come to life as I was building and the finished effect with the use of the flowers and birds is amazing. It's a really beautiful piece of art but slightly let down by the frame with some of the white tiles being of slightly different shades. It's very easy to remove the picture from the frame to display it. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Beautiful Piece of Art to Display
This has to be my favourite Lego set to date!! It wasn’t at the top of my list to buy but then I saw it in the Lego Store and knew it would match my decor perfectly!
It is the first Lego Art piece I have built and it was neat to use new techniques. I absolutely LOVED the soundtrack provided to listen to while building, I learned so much about the piece!
It was so satisfying clicking the last parts into place to put the picture in the frame!
Great set, and I would recommend this to adult builders!!

Great
This was definitely one of my most enjoyable LEGO projects ever. The story behind the design was very interesting. For example, why they chose birds instead of frogs on the waves. I had a lot of fun building it.

More than just a Lego activity
This was the most educational play activity I've experienced! Didn't have Legos as a young person, but very familiar with how kids play with them. Never thought an adult could get so much out of Legos! The whole audio documentary about the artist Hokusai, was very interesting. Listening to it as I built my Great Wave was just the best experience. It inspired me to look for more information on the ", and I now have a fabulous book on Hokusai's "36 views of Mt Fuji"!

LEGO Art Hokusai
I was born in Japan 83 years ago and Hokusai was famous in the country. Assembling this kit was a good brain exercise for me, perhaps to prevent dementia. The instructions have very few words and I had to figure out how to proceed. The original artwork has some dark colors below the summit of Mt. Fuji, but this kit is all white, which is regrettable.

An Exquisite Blend of Art and LEGO!
The LEGO Art Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is an absolute masterpiece that transcends the boundary between traditional artwork and LEGO construction. Not only does it provide hours of engaging, puzzle-like building experience, but it also results in a stunning piece of wall art that's sure to wow any guest. The set comes neatly packaged with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, typical of LEGO's high standard. It contains over 3,000 pieces, but don't let the number intimidate you. The building process is simplified by the color-coded system and the accompanying soundtrack, which immerses you in a harmonious blend of LEGO clicking sounds and informative narratives about Hokusai and his magnum opus. The LEGO interpretation of Hokusai's iconic wave is astonishingly accurate. The designers have painstakingly replicated the image, from the white-capped waves to the distant Mt. Fuji. Each brick adds to the overall image, and watching the picture come to life as you assemble each piece is a uniquely satisfying experience.Perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of this set is the accessibility and inclusivity it provides. You need not be a LEGO enthusiast, an art lover, or familiar with Hokusai's work to appreciate the beauty and satisfaction derived from building this set. It is, in essence, a universally appealing product. If you're looking for a gift, the LEGO Art Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is an excellent choice. It's a perfect blend of culture, art, and entertainment that appeals to both kids and adults. Whether it's for the living room wall or the office, it's a beautiful piece that combines the fun of LEGO and the sophistication of classic Japanese art.All in all, the LEGO Art Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is an exceptional set that provides not just an engaging building experience but also an immersive educational journey into one of Japan's most iconic art pieces. It’s truly a set that impresses on all fronts and is worth every penny.

Masterpiece
If you want to relax as an adult, but find puzzles too complicated and painting too messy, then this LEGO set of "Hokusai – The Great Wave" is something for you. When you open the box, you will see a lot of bags. Once you open the instructions and follow the right steps and bags, it is a very relaxing building project. You can also scan the QR code on the box and listen to the special soundtrack. If everything goes well, you will hear a kind of podcast with more information about the artwork. In this way, you are relaxing and also learning something :) However, be aware that the soundtrack is spoken in English. If you can focus well on English and building, that is fun. Personally, I find it so relaxing to focus on building that I no longer have time to listen to the soundtrack. The set is very detailed, and when it is finished, you actually have a really cool painting at home. I think I will also buy the other one from the art series.

This is a really fun set to build. Because it contains many small parts (1x1), you need to be careful when assembling so that you don't miss any steps. This makes it a very fun challenge. The set is so beautiful. The image is detailed and exactly as shown on the front of the box. If you have the Lego app, you can also listen to the sounds on the set. The audio fragment provides general information about Hokusai and his artwork. This makes the building experience more fun and educational. I definitely think this set is worth its money. Especially if you like LEGO and art!

Great result, long build.
This is my first "art" Lego set, and I find it kind of tedious and repetitive to build, which was expected to be fair. Having said this, I love the end result, it looks great.
One criticism I can make is that the back of the “painting” could be more reinforced. Just add 2 8x8 where the 4 panes meet and replace the 2x2 with 4x2 bricks. Finally add the 2x6 bricks on the horizontal too. I think I'll do this with mine.
