I bought this for a friend recently & they absolutely love it. They are big into lego, space & Star Wars. It's heavy enough with loads of details. It's really cool how the box opens & how everything is presented. I was, however, sceptical about delivery as in some reviews it was stated that the box/book had been damaged through delivery. Thankfully, this was not the case when I had received it. Everything was perfect.
The book itself is stunning but it arrived only shrink wrapped and in a box significantly larger with only some extra loose paper. Extremely disappointing that we are spending this much money and they are not at all concerned with the damage it will sustain in transit. Such a beautiful and expensive book should have been more thought out instead of being tossed in an oversized box.
I was SO excited to receive this book! The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that the edges of the books were damaged, as if it had been dropped and landed on the corner. It’s not the end of the world but, at this price point, the book should have arrived without damage. I had hoped to display this on my coffee table, but it’s too crush for that. Super disappointed in LEGO’s packaging. As far as the content of the book, it shares info and the history of the design process behind Minifigs and sets, and it’s a wonderful read for serious fans of LEGO Star Wars.
I finally got the book delivered the other day only to find the book damaged since it was in a box that was way too big and only protected by a small piece of packing paper so I contacted LEGO to exchange it for another one which looked a lot better, but after getting it I noticed that it had these sort of ink streak marks on a some of the pages and one of the extra prints so I opened up the other one I'm returning to see that it also had the same issue of pages that seem to have splattered ink across them. I'm hoping this isn't a major quality issue because for a book that costs $150 to have these issues is very disappointing!
