A dynamic and surprisingly innovative building experience.
One of the best Star Wars sets, as it not only recreates two legendary vehicles but also gives the user the opportunity to reinvent them as if the same Star Wars universe were in their hands. The "build and remix" philosophy is applied perfectly here, with components designed to be interchangeable without compromising either stability or aesthetics. Once assembled in their classic versions, the starfighters are already very satisfying both as displays and for play. The X-Wing structure is solid, with wings that open and close smoothly, while the TIE Fighter maintains its characteristic harmonious Imperial design. But the most surprising part comes when you start experimenting: moving the wings, inverting sections, combining elements from both models leads to creating configurations that seem to come straight from official concept art. The building experience is smooth thanks to clear instructions and well-distributed sections. The presence of the 4 minifigures plus the droid also allows you to bring the set to life once it is finished, enriching the experience with small gaming dynamics or display scenarios. During my personal use, I alternated building sessions with more "creative" moments, imagining alternative battles or futuristic versions of the vehicles, and the set proved to be perfect for this approach. From a value-for-money perspective, the number of pieces, the attention to detail, and the overall versatility make this set one of the most compelling in the Star Wars line in recent times. It is designed for those who like to build, for collectors, for players, and above all, for those who want a set that will continue to surprise them once completed. A complete, modern, and satisfying product in every aspect. Absolutely 5 stars.

Great Star Wars set for kids
I bought this for my 5 year old son and he loves it. Both the TIE fighter and the X-wing are really awesome. He loves swapping the wings and it's easy to do even for a 5yo.

The set overall is a 4/5 both builds look decent. I would recommend but wait until its on sale like what I did.

Great toy!
Well-designed models. Stable construction and therefore playable. There is room for debate about the Mash-up function (for me personally, it is superfluous), but it is well thought out. WARNING!!! I bought the LED extension: This conversion will cost you the playability and the models are only for display. I highly recommend this extension. Read it carefully before you regret it.

It's alright
They both look good. I'd never swap the wings, because to me it looks terrible. But I suppose other people might like that. And being able to quickly and easily detach them could be good for making it look like a wing has been shot off without having to disassemble a bunch of pieces.
No complaints at all about the TIE Fighter. That looks great and it's well designed.
The X-Wing as another matter. It's mostly fine, but the landing gear are terrible. The two back ones just keep falling off. There's not enough support to keep them attached to the X-Wing. The joints themselves are strong enough to support the weight of the whole thing, but that's pointless if the entire "legs" just detach themselves randomly.
And there's no place to really put the minifigure's guns. There's room in the X-Wing cockpit for that one, but it just rattles around in there. IMO, there should be a clip piece in there to hold it securely in place since there seems to be room for the clip and the gun attached to it. Just one more of those grey clips holding onto the canopy inside. Pictures included.

One of the best sets - ever!
This Set is a great set, the reason I didn’t rate the value for money very high is because $200 is a bit much, all lego is overpriced really. I love how it includes imperials and rebels so you can do battles without having to make your own goodies/baddies from scratch or buy another set. The tie is sturdy and cool, although the pilot cannot really hold his blaster while in the cockpit, no bigge. The X-wing has a nice weight and colour scheme, the x-wing is SO awesome apart from how one of my bottom wings droops slightly. The x-wing landing gear is the perfect height and basically disappears when you fold them up for flight. I love L3GO and how you get Sig and Yesi not just the pilots. It’s also good that we’re seeing more female’s in sets like the tie pilot. If you are going to buy a Star Wars set in this price range, get this one! Hope to see more from rebuild the galaxy, maybe some Ewok bounty hunters? Thanks lego.

Movable & switchable parts. AWESOME!!!

I received the Lego Star Wars TIE Fighter & X-wing Mash-up (75393) for my independent and honest review.
My 11 year old son loved building this set. He finished building it in about 4 hours, and every moment, he was glued to the project instead of anything else. It was great seeing him so involved.
He loved the building process and the final results. He liked how realistic the design and colors looked to the box and what they appear to be in the movie. He likes the ability to switch wings! Switching them up not only made them more realistic to play with, but it makes the set very easy to store if you’re ever traveling. You can just take the wings off thus smaller for storing or putting away. The wings are not loose when on- the whole build feels very secure. He states that the only thing he doesn't like is that the character only fits a certain way in the TIE Fighter cab. He wanted the cabin area to be bigger so the character could stand or move in other positions.
All in all, I'd say it’s a wonderful set — it’s great they come together in this package. 100% recommend this set for anyone who's a Lego or Star Wars fanatic!

Super cool mash up Lego set
I'm so excited to have gotten this Lego set. I love building the sets and of course my toddler loves taking it apart. Gladly I love rebuilding them too so is a win win. I love the mash up concept of this Lego and we are having a blast mashing up the tie fighter and the x-wing! This is a very cool set, we love it!
