A Walk Down Memory Lane
A fantastic new addition to the current modular castle. Every building step is a trip down memory lane, and I relive each book through the process of building the set. The fantasy world from my childhood combined with building with LEGO makes me see the world through the magical eyes of a curious child.
Over the years, I've noticed that LEGO continues to come up with new ideas to make their sets more complex, while still maintaining the simple building steps. The details are beautiful and always amaze me. For example, the angled bay window on the corner of the castle. The way they achieve this would be impossible for me to imagine.

Exiting Set!
This set exited me for the future of Lego Harry Potter. I was skeptical at first, but as soon as I built it and realized the scale of this set, I was like, “Wow. This is insane!” Even though it is a hefty price I’d say it’s worth it for sure.

Collectible portraits issue
I have just purchased this set and really enjoyed building it. It was a lot of fun recreating some of my favourite scenes from the first book HP and the Philosopher’s Stone. The build itself is satisfying and well-designed.
That said, my main disappointment lies with the collectible portraits. The set includes six of them, but unfortunately, I ended up with four duplicates (see photos). For a set at this price point, I think LEGO should ensure that all portraits included are unique within the same box. Having such repetition takes away from the excitement of collecting them.
Overall, I’m happy with the set, but I would strongly recommend that LEGO improve the quality control on collectible elements to make the experience more rewarding for builders.

Harry potter main tower
Despite the fact that the tower is reasonably priced, I highly recommend it. A beautiful construction. And if you see what comes with it, this set is definitely worth its price. !!

Enjoyable build experience
I love how the instructions are broken up in this set! My boy was super excited to build Fluffy right away, and luckily the build is divided into smaller sections with their own instruction booklets. I got started on bag 1 while he dove right into the Fluffy room. It’s such a smart move by LEGO! Makes it possible for friends or family to build different parts at the same time. We had a blast!
