The BEST of all the F1 1:8 Scale Builds To Date!!!
This set was awesome to build in every way. I have built all of the 1:8 LEGO F1s, including the old Silver Champion from well back in the day, and this set is the best of them all. LEGO has learned and adapted from previous designs and has now mastered the process. The 6 piston engine and the suspension were now very fulfilling to build and not overly complex, while still presenting an appropriate challenge. The colors of this McLaren are fantastic, and the STICKERS ARE GREAT TOO!!! Yes, even the stickers!!! Well done LEGO. Now it’s time to finally include 1:8 scale builds for ALL of the remaining F1 teams that have yet to be memorialized in LEGO Technic 1:8 scale. Aston Martin, Williams and Audi would be a great place to start, but please do them ALL!!!! Thanks, LEGO!!
Disappointed
Was so excited to order this product but bag one and there are parts missing
Beautiful set
The set is beautiful, quite a challenging build, which made it all the more satisfying to complete. However, there were no stickers included in my set!

Compared to the first McLaren which I've got this new one is so much better, that's just my opinion

The LEGO Technic McLaren MCL39 F1 Car 42228 is a large 1:8 scale Formula 1 model designed mainly for display and advanced builders. With 1,675 pieces, it recreates McLaren’s 2025 F1 car with impressive detail, including working steering, suspension, a 2-speed gearbox, a V6 engine with moving pistons, and a functional DRS rear wing. The bright papaya orange design looks very accurate and makes the model stand out on a shelf, especially since it’s about 24 inches long. The build is complex and satisfying, but it’s not really meant for play — it’s more of a collector’s showpiece. Some fans wish the front and rear tires were different sizes like the real car, and the $229.99 price is high, but overall it’s a strong and detailed Technic set for Formula 1 and McLaren fans. And I always liked f1 and McLaren and Ferrari
Absolute perfection
It is just really good for a gift or for yourself to display or play with. Not the easiest of builds but really fun to build
